If you are not paying off a loan or saving up for a down payment you need to GTFO of your parents house. If you're working full time and still can't afford it then you need to move. Nobody owes you a loft in the big expensive city you have to earn it by working your ass off. Guys I've been there. I live in one of the most expensive/low wage cities in the world and moving out after college seemed impossible. I set a date and told my parents and everyone I was moving out before I even found a proper job. This emotionally set me on fire and motivated me to do everything in my power to get a job. Look into trades, my brother makes just as much as me as a drywaller and didn't have to go to college.
if your a single guy making minimum wage (or just above it), your living with someone PERIOD. whether it's with your girlfriend, parents, roommates, friends whatever. you cant make it on your own, not in this economy. It's easy for Adam to pass judgment since he is not in that situation. but when you have an economy starved for jobs, jobs leaving our shores, Immigrant influx lowering the working standards across the board, this is the norm for today. everyone i know is either living with their parents/GF/roomates, including myself. Id love to live on my own, but im not making 50k plus, that is a pipe dream for many Americans presently.
+James Koutnik according to your philosophy, everyone who works hard would be millionaires, yet that isn't the case is it? there are only so many good paying jobs and millions of people looking to acquire them, it is simple ratios which you cant seem to calculate in your small minded way of thinking.
+James Koutnik I'm not totally convinced that you are man enough.... Why not post some more personal info like your credit card numbers and SSN. Show us how alpha you are you fuckwit.
+Peter von Karstein You should have some skill at age 37 though... I was a loser most of my life, dropped out of college twice and even I was hitting $50k a year at age 25. I simply entered the job market making $10 an hour and out-worked people twice my age with ten times my experience and took one of their jobs. I'm not a genius. I'm not gifted. I went to work every day and gave 100% effort. I'm tired of the lazy people coming up with excuses; bad economy, jobs overseas, immigrant influx, blah blah blah. The only people I know that are out of a job are piss poor workers. But hey, I can't complain because it makes it that much easier for me to keep my job.
There was a time when progress could be measured by the social status of women and minorities. Now society's downfall is partly being measured by the number of adult males in America who are unemployed (about 1 in 6) and still living at home (about 1 in 3). Now that healthcare is "free" (meaning $200-1,000/month) and 30 hours is considered "full-time" I'll be surprised if anyone aside from illegals and robots are still working in a few decades.
they are so unaware if the common struggles, i worked hard created a business at 24 and at 27 the epa shut me down for nothing, i dont want to argue the details but it was for nothing, they even admited it but by then i didnt have money to pay for the associated fees due to there investigation, so for years i was craigslisting etc and downsized to poverty levels, Struggling and having a fucked life doesnt equal being a loser, if you want to change your life you have to work hard and take risks, but risks can set you back 10 years, good to see they understand at the show
I actually subscribe to this podcast....I remember this call...I actually felt like he was being an asshole to this poor idiot. I didn't like it...Maybe he woke the guy up though
you gotta understand...this is a comedy segment that he does...USUALLY, the people he calls are kind of "hip" to the humor & they joke along with him....this guy just was oblivious & He (Adam) had already committed, to the segment, on air & had to try to squeeze some funny out of it
mike D You are going to have to face it at some point. Your parents aren't going to be there forever. This 37 year old is going to be inept when he has to do everything himself. He could end up homeless real quick.
to be honest a lot of cultures have the whole family live in one house... the grandparents look after the kids while the younger adults work... this very prevalent in asian households... why is a college kid already in 200k debt going to buy a house and go 400k in debt... what do you want people to do? and then bitch that they r in debt
Why does anyone live at home??? - BECAUSE HOUSING COSTS and EVERY LIVING EXPENSE has more than quadrupled in a span of 20 years!!!! But yeah... blame the poor by simply calling them "insane" or "lazy."
What in the hell makes anybody think it's their fucking buisness what somebody else is doing, for a show that's anti collectivism it seems funny to try and tell other people what they should think or do.
to all u haters that can't hack it in the real world adam is 1000%correct, you guys cant handle the truth!adam was on welfare his whole fn life so go get a fn job!
Hey some people just can't make it on there own they need momma and dadda to take care of them and spoon feed them even in there 30's there not independent but dependent
Jesus Christ it's really hard to find even decent paying jobs out there as it is period so what's making fun of the person having troubles how is that going to change the situation? Seems to me it will make it worse!!!!!!!!
+Andrew Clunie no that's not why. It's because listening to her voice reminded me of how she was on the show. She had better chemistry with Adam on air at least, she was much more talented comedically, she contributed way more than Gina does, she was more engaged and asked way better questions. I can't think of the last time Gina said something that made me even chuckle. Alison was chalk full of substance, it seemed like every couple of shows she would have a new line that Bryan made into a drop, where as Gina just has the "Don't Care!" and that's it.

And according to your philosophy, everyone that works, works hard.
what were you doing at 25 I was a computer operator it wasnt until I got in programming that I made $50k and that was with years of experience
That really petered out at the end. It was getting good, then it just fizzles.
"I'm looking for a Boss Hog coaster, do ya have one?"
Is the mug still for sale? I’d be a buyer at 2 bucks
“And what’s your bottom line on this ?”
“$3”
“Oh, playing hard ball!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
COme on J. Edgar Hoover lived with his mom until he was 43!
Says a lot..
She lived with him u mean
I sorta miss Allison's laugh
+Ake Sune I do too. at least it seemed real. gina is offputting

Dat Reel Big Fish intro.
sounds like the bosstones, not real big fish
+Arrogant 80s "Sell Out" by Reel Big Fish.
i laughed so hard when he asked "how's your weight doing?"
bryan had me rolling in this one. good stuff.
There's nothing "funny" about this clip. In this economy, I'm not surprised that anyone has to move in with their parents to avoid homelessness.

yes but he should also have a bank full of money, I lived at home til 30 and bought a house and put 80% down and have an easy to pay mortgage
Wow, I did the same thing you did except I put 30% down. Nicely done sir.
this is sad
mike D You are going to have to face it at some point. Your parents aren't going to be there forever. This 37 year old is going to be inept when he has to do everything himself. He could end up homeless real quick.
This is depressing.

“The poor” there’s a difference between being poor and being broke.
Or they're just losers.
At 37? Someone is projecting...
I don't even know how you fix his situation. Even Walmart wouldn't hire a 37 year old with no work experience...
I hear you, but who knows what happened to this man I'm not gonna judge him
They guys parents very well may have a ton of money. Yorba Linda isn't exactly Detroit. There are a ton of incredible homes out there.
Please tell me this is not a real call.
I switched off at the 6min mark.
My hernia scar.
I figured out why Adam has a woman on the show.
So everybody else on the show sounds better by comparison.
So, by your reasoning adam couldn't hack it....being on welfare his whole life and all. smh
I read his book I remember a lote of talk about working construction and teaching boxing but I dont remember welfare
"Adam Carola Talks to a Mexican Man"
Hey some people just can't make it on there own they need momma and dadda to take care of them and spoon feed them even in there 30's there not independent but dependent
I hope he moved out
Well at least i can see why adams mother neglected him. She was a good woman cause i would have flushed him at birth
Jesus Christ it's really hard to find even decent paying jobs out there as it is period so what's making fun of the person having troubles how is that going to change the situation? Seems to me it will make it worse!!!!!!!!
Ooops just realized i'm making too much of this. Sorry.
god damn I miss Alison. She's worth a thousand Gina Grads
+Brain Phelps Why? Is it because she only said about 3 words?
+Andrew Clunie no that's not why. It's because listening to her voice reminded me of how she was on the show. This is a BAD bit... Adam Carolla without Drew talking to teenagers calling to ask sex questions is a huge DISASTER
Lame
haha sad and funny
