"Honey, we got invited to an adult party at 8pm. Are they vampires, are they actual vampires??" Okay I swear, this is our line of thinking for events that start at 8pm... And we're not even 30 yet 😂
We had that same conversation this weekend when we were also invited to an 8:00 p.m. Halloween party. 😄

I had never truly experienced the "punk kids" syndrome until I had some kids walk by and instead of walking the few steps up to our porch they yelled, are they full size? And decided it wasn't worth walking up the few steps 🙄😅

It's a 'thing' in our neighborhood this year to have giant skeletons dressed up as humans, doing human things. There are *two* displays of skeletons playing pickleball. When I saw that, I thought of you guys.
I saw photos on Twitter of a neighborhood where skeletons were playing pickleball as well as on a Zoom call -- same neighborhood?

That's why I don't even open the candy bags until Halloween because I WILL eat it all. I actually don't mind the older kids because I joke with them and fortunately they're all polite.

Agreed~I like Trick or Treaters of all ages...Teens need safe and wholesome FUN activities to enjoy and also LOTS of candy, yoo:)
We've been through 3 whole boxes so far so I started putting them in a glass candy jar with a lid(very clanky) on the shelf directly behind my head and you wouldn't believe how suddenly popular Mom is! And how suddenly there's more than "nothing" going on at both school and work as they try to distract me long enough to get one! It's a good thing they haven't figured out how to work together yet.
Now this is an amazing relationship, knowing each other so well with acceptance and laughing together👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I've bought a bag before ... only to have to get another just before Halloween because I ate the first.
Every year my Dad used to buy a few bags of Reece’s peanut butter cups (they’re his favorite) to give out and then get another bag the day before Halloween - just in case. In 12 years they never had a single trick or treater!

I remember one a while ago when some poor soul who was not familiar with the Holderness family commented that it was a poorly done video because you could hear the person with the camera laughing. It’s so true about the candy. From one mom to another. The truth is if everyone ate the trick or treater candy it could go too quickly…but just me eating it- I know how much to eat so that I’m comfortable with how much is left for trick or treaters 😂
That's me! And one year I bought a couple of extra bags so I would have some to eat when I was tempted to eat the Halloween stuff. Problem was, I ate it faster because I was allowed to eat it and ran out of the "legal" supply a week before Halloween and still ended up eating too much of the Halloween candy and having to replace it. Lol
The belt bag totally got me 😂 definitely how I walk around in front of my poor husband lately
