I think she is just trying to show that this group's music crosses generations.. not just for a young group of people but older as well. My grandmother listened to their album as I was playing it, and she fell in love with their music.. they are ageless I guess you could say lol. My granny had me get on Amazon and buy her the album.. love it!

A lot of practice and a lot of natural talent
They record live in the studio meaning they are that good live and it translates to the recording.... plus just incredible "talent" ( i say talent in quotes because julis' voice is just a natural gift he built on.)
I'm 66, born in the civil rights era, still a song writer, guitar player (pretty good, if I do say so). Raised in Boston, but I've worked in the South, Mississippi and elsewhere. Where these young Icelanders found these lyrics, this soul is beyond me. The musicianship is great all around. The lyric is from a novel, from the gut. The music is perfect. Well done guys. Well done. I feel the same about the whole album. Let me know when you're in Washington, DC.

Steph May That's one of the disappointing aspects of modern music. Lots of great songs from great musicians today, but unfortunately a lot of artists have their work edited quite excessively. There's a decent number of bands who sound exactly the same as their studio versions, though, so that's a relief.

KEXP hands down has the most rewatchable content in the music world. The nostalgia from some of these videos almost and even past a decade since I've seen them is intense.

Being a 22 years old north African kid who first discovered Kaleo back in 2019 and got absolutely hooked ever since. I always felt like I was born in the wrong place and era to have devoloped such a deep admiration and love to this genre and Kaleo specifically. an old soul in a young mans body.
This song is close to being my favourite song ever, and this coming from a person with a playlist of 3000 songs across different genres, with Whitney Houston, Adele, Frank Sinatra, Queen and ABBA and what not! But this ones gonna make me a free man, this ones gonna set me free. Cheers from Russia.

I am a BTS huge fan and i found out about Kaleo too while i was in middle school. Its been 8 years and i still love them both so much! So different but each so cool in their own ways. I wish Kaleo had more songs 😭😭😭

I just fell in love with this band and play this album over and over! The songs are amazing and that guitar....DAMN! I would swear they came from the U.S. south and was shocked to learn that they are from Iceland!! I hope they do a U.S. tour because I will be first in line to see them. Can't wait for the next album.

I heard this song for the first time today while watching Grey's Anatomy and I LOVE IT! It reminds me of some old time blues. I suppose I need to investigate some other songs by this artist. Also, I really liked the guitar with the huge silver toned circle. It looks cool. 😉
