Can we not give up on these guys this easily again? Stop this crap guys? They have magic & they figure it out. It is 2-2. It is NOT over. We lose 1 win 2 in a row lose 1 win 2 in a row. Get with it guys. STOP giving up everyone. Keep believing.
You just have to be honest with yourself they have been out played in pretty much all 4 games. Especially the last 2 games. So if they continue to get outplayed and the longer the series goes the outcome will not be good. I’m not sure they have the team to beat this Panthers who show up every night.
Boy you guys have a lot of confidence all year long I didn’t think they were this good and they proved me wrong but this is a different season and they looked like crap all series long even against Carolina up 3-0 and let up and barely one that series. Defense is playing hurt( bench them for healthy players ) 10, 20 93 aren’t even playing. Hopefully I’m wrong they win this series and I’ll take any bashing I deserve. But they are done..
It’s hockey. Anything can happen. Barley won, they lost 2 games & won 4 against canes. Stop. Doesn’t matter how you get it done, as long as you get it done. It’s gonna come down to their magic factor. Just have faith & dont give up. Even w: what going on. Fight to stay positive & let’s save the domesday crap if it comes to it. But it won’t. It’s 2-2 tied w: home ice. Everyone acting like it’s 3-0. You need to believe in them even with what’s going on. It’s 2-2. We get the other 2 & we move on. There are a lot of good coaches in the NHL: Sullivan, Cooper, Ruff, Lavy… but Paul Maurice is tops. Just listen to his post game or pregame analysis and how he answer questions. The dude is sharp and he’s a hell of a motivator. He knows what to say and what to do to get the most out of his players. I’m super impressed by his style and his humor. Not a fan of his players but as a coach he’s outstanding.

Oh guys, I’ve seen him. I’ve seen him turn the puck over about 15 times a game every game this series.
You can't win anything if your top 3 players can't produce. No movement clause doesn't mean they can't be moved. If we lose our core 4 (zbad,kreider, panarin, trouba.) needs to be broken up one of them has to go. Huberdeau for zbad is my move. K.miller is a whimp he has no jam for his size. Winning the regular season means nothing, playoffs are top lines producing at normal rate and bottom 6 production puts you over the top. I'd love to get A.Xhekaj on this team, him with the Rempe would be so difficult to play against.
Miller is like 6 foot 5 and I have never seen him throw a hard body check since he been a Ranger
Panthers home games have been sold out since the playoffs began, top ten attendance in the regular season and we still have to listen to salty idiots say we have no fans when we beat their teams

Our core is very soft. They shy away from hits and physical play. We looked the best in game 2 when we came out desperate and took the body. Look at the guys shining this series: Laffy, Goodrow, Lindgren, Trocheck, and even Rempe to some extent. They are not afraid to take hits and go into tough areas. Their middle is wide open but our best players are afraid to go in there because they are too soft. Despite looking horrible for long stretches, his series could easily be 3-1 Rangers. Come out with some fire.
Jones needs to be in the lineup bench either Trouba Fox or Lindgreen to of the latter are definitely playing hurt and it’s hurting us as well.

This is what the rangers need to do they need to play the 131 get the puck deep and for check and spend more time in the offensive zone and don't take any stupid penalties and will be just fine
It is easier said then done, they dont have the physicality to dump and chase pucks, they are a rush team that is how they won all year
Good points. But not mentioned was Jimmy Vessey’s absence. The PK has not been the same he’s been hurt. Rangers no longer have the advantage in special teams & can’t play with the usual level of aggression.
The Mika hate is crazy. Outside of this series he's played well, was a top scorer. AND he's paired against probably the best 2 way center in the league. Context matters. OT turnover was shambles, but outside of that, whoa.
The Rangers have scored 1 goal in their last 2 home games, they have basically had 1 period of solid hockey since game 4 against Carolina and that was the 3rd period Kreider hat trick since then they have been thoroughly dominated and if not for Igor this would have been a clean sweep, Kreider, Zib and Panarin have been awful, I dont see it changing tonight, if Igor isn't great and they dont get the lucky bounces they simply cannot win this series they aint physical enough

Great to see that you guys are Rangers Fans living in Florida. I think that the only problem in putting Chytil on The Top Lines is The Florida Panthers are all over The Rangers, which gives it a much bigger chance that he can get hurt again. I think that Mika Zibanejad, although unfortunately playing bad, is entitled to one bad season. He starts bad, but, usually came around in February/March. I'm saying, even though I like him (don't scream at me, Eric), he (Jacob Trouba - sorry to have to mention his name, since I assume he's your new He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned, now that the Other Guy is with The Anaheim Ducks. LOL) has to be moved, even if they win The Stanley Cup. The only reason I don't get on him, is because if he's not worth the pay, that's not on him, but, the Former (John Davidson/Jeff Gorton) Management that's to blame. I think that they need to likely package him, with some other players, to Chicago, for some good players, if they can get any (Chicago isn't the best of teams to trade with, but, they likely need & can afford him). Let me know what you think (sorry for the long text). PS. I don't really think it's the case that Peter Laviollette is being outcoached by Paul Maurice, as much as the former having to put Band-Aids on Bullet Wounds, considering some of the players he's got & likely doesn't want.

Great Video, as usual, guys. I think that this is what it's like after The Regular Season for many teams. Florida Panthers are all over The Top Players of The Rangers. I agree that The Top Players aren't playing up to par, but, I think that this is, in part, due to them needing to put some Body Slammers, without intent to injure, on All Of The Lines, so that All Of The Guys who are On Top Of The Rangers Players will know that they're going to get countered & free up those Top Players. Let me know what you think

Bad take on the powerplay and moving Mika down. The reason that PP is/can be so deadly is because the threat he poses (even if he doesn't do anything and takes bad angle shots etc). Posing the threat of him being there with his scoring ability make the Panthers PK have to honor him. They need to run more plays to Trocheck (like the goal) and work the puck from below the dots. Any time they bring the puck up to the blue, the Panthers PK is programmed to press which stretches everything out. So if you do that, then use plays along the goal line to create offense, a lot of things will open up (Hence how both the Rangers and Panthers PP's scored. Both almost exact same plays)

Mika has talent but he's a bit one dimensional and disappears when there's games against really tough opponents like Florida. When's the last time he wove his way through the defense and scored. It's always a shot/goal from the same locations and other teams have learned to expect it.

Im disappointed myself but i can't bash my team yet. I agree with putting mika on the 2nd PP. Don't call them bums. I hope Panarin knows he has to hustle every shift. We been good these whole playoffs. Just met our match which i still feel like we can beat. We should've been up 3-1 and no one would've been talking like this.
Hockey fan here with many family members living the rangers . Anyway did anyone see , on the Florida game winning goal , before the Mika poor pass , was Kappo failing I believe twice in quick sequence trying to chip out NYR blue line to red line failed and led to panthers to sending it back in so they had to back collect ans bring it back out and up . Kappo supposed to be decent in his own dozen zone. It goes back to what j see vs. other teams and I just not crazy about rangers 5v5 play. I do like how they get on teams mistakes but they don't posses puck well , or forecheck well .

The reason the Rangers defend so much is because they stretch a guy in the NZ all game long. This creates a 4v4 back into their zone and when/if the D win first touch battles, their ONLY options are to flip it to the NZ, RIM it around to a winger that has a D crashing down on them, or chip it to another winger that has a D crashing down on them. THERE is ZERO center support coming back for pucks into their own zone which is why there are so many icings, so many flipped pucks, and so many turnovers caused by the Panthers just locking onto wingers while two Panther FCKers will beat the shit out of the Rangers defense. I guarentee you if they brought all 5 guys back, they would break the puck out with center support 60% of the time and be able to gain speed through the NZ. Instead, they try to flip and hope that who ever is in the NZ will catch it and cause a 2v1 opportunity which worked maybe 3-4 times. Yes they are high scoring opportunities, but they are causing the Rangers to turn pucks over so much more and making them defend for even more time.
The turn over from Mika was horrible. It wasn't on a line change, because he had Kreider breaking down towards the net/back post, all he had to do was lay a soft area pass to behind the net and Kreider would have won that foot race.
I also get your take on the Galant dump the puck bullshit, but this is playoff hockey. They need to dump the puck with a purpose, they aren't always going to be able to carry it into the zone like they want to so they need to dump it to areas they can go win the puck back. Dumping the puck like they have been and then not FCKing is a huge reason why they are one and done in the offensive zone. I will give it to Rempe and that Cuylle line. They win first touch battles on dumps and create turnovers and get some zone time, even though it doesn't always turn into shots on net, but at least they are trying. The other lines, they go to FCK standing straight up trying to make a skilled stick check (Panarin, Mika) and it doesn't work. They need to be able to play hockey off of dumps. LOOK AT THE PANTHERS, thats all they do and look how much zone time they get. Their stars go in and bang bodies, win first touch battles or cause turn overs, and then they buzz in the offensive zone.
I think both Miller and Trouba should be healthy scratches. Give me Zac Jones and Ruhwedel…. I’m beer league and I can ice the puck on a PK. Hey K’Andre use the glass it’s free!
Eric you’re forgetting Goodrow. Lafreniere, Igor, Trocheck, and Goodrow. Those are the top four players in this series.
Turn overs are killing us. In all my years of watching the Rangers I cannot remember this many turn overs. It’s crazy. We have the deepest team in the entire playoffs. Four solid lines that can all produce yet we seem to have forgotten the fundamentals. How they’ve gotten this far with this many mistakes is beyond me, actually that’s not true it because of Igor. If they win there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Conn Smythe goes to Shesty.

chytil in line up is not a save all, we did fine without him all season. the issue is is mika hurt? if so do what you need to do
Mika and Kreider are simply not fully rounded in all necessary hockey skills 5 on 5. They don’t innovate well, they dont stickhandle well in traffic, and they do not win mucky wall battles. Open ice is their game ... perfect in November, disaster in May.

I’ve listened to so many post game shows since game 4, and you guys have hit every nail on the head.
We’re wasting a truly amazing postseason from Igor Shesterkin (like we did to Hank for so many years). I don’t care how much money certain players make or how many points they had in the regular season. Play the men that are stepping up and bench the players that aren’t.
First line- Panarin, Trocheck, Laf
Second line- Chytil, Kreider, Wennberg
Third Line- Mika, Cuyle, Kakko
Who are the centers here? 1st - Troch 2nd - Wennie 3rd - Zib ??? I'm legit asking.
A solution I suggested and an curious what people think is what about moving Laffy up to top line RW and you can slot in Chytil in his spot on the 2nd line?
Laffy during the season I think needed to be with Panarin and Trocheck to help him get his game and his confidence right over the course of this season.
But I think Laffy has actually graduated to the point that he is making his own space and time and without the puck he is thinking the game near perfect and finding the open ice where he is ready to take the puck and score (see: Adam Fox spin pass to Laf, just arrived at the net front and immediately finds the puck for a beautiful tip in)
Laffy right now has elevated to the point that he can potentially be a glue guy. I think he cab either help as a go-between for Kreider and Zibenajad, or put himself in position to finish and put pucks home if the defensive pressure gravitates away from him.
At the VERY least he will be a help at battles on the boards and helping retrieve pucks in the O zone.
Its worth a try.

I can not believe Ranger brass continues to play Miller night after night with the constant turnovers and his idea of playing defense which to swipe at the puck and hope it gets out of the zone. This is not NHL hockey. I can't be the only Ranger fan who is tired of this. 4 years we've been watching this.
Oh, I guess say one more thing they’re not getting out coached they’re getting out played by the players how many goals can the coach score? At the end of the day is the guys that hit the ice that make the difference.

I don't agree with your assessment of wheel or taking that penalty. I trust Igor to save that in that moment. Now if I was wheeler I would have done the same thing but with the way Igor's been playing give him that shot and don't put Florida on the power play

It's not about giving up on them it's about getting them to wakeup and playing 60 min before its too late. They can't play like they played last game panthers, are very fast they play 1period good the next period absolutely flat where are the main guys on this team and what have they done in this series krieder Mika panarin they done nothing. These next 2 games are going to be very tough they can't fall asleep or take overtime penalties or penalties period or they will be playing early golf for the summer 🙏🙄😳👍
