Knowing the sword means Ava is back and hearing Simon say it directly to us are two very different things, i feel like i released a breath i was holding the past 2 weeks. Also Netflix is like the evil stepmom, we all been knew. The nerve of them to suggest cutting the last scene 🙄. Loving these interviews!

I like how straightforward he is. Most writers/show runners would be like “we shall see” or “gotta wait til the next season” but Simon is very straightforward and cares deeply about us as fans. It shows through his efforts on making this show and his answers in these interviews.
this show has no budget (netflix, hello???), no promo, no support, and it fucking kicks ass! can you imagine what it could be if we didnt have to fight for the bare minimum???

It's insane how much Netflix hides from us lol. The bloopers, the bts, the trimmed and untrimmed clips all in their private server it's unbelievable. We deserve it on the dvd extras. 😂

When I tell you I LAUGHED out loud the second he admitted to forgetting to shoot Beatrice's side!! I mean now I absolutely love that scene because it's honestly so perfect the way that it is, but the first time I saw it I was so frustrated over the fact that we didn't get to see her reaction lmao!

I was wondering why Bea's face wasn't shown I literally have to play it back maybe I blinked and I missed it but nope lol.
Her breaking voice did it though. Even without seeing her face, it was full of pain and it's extremely heartbreaking

Seeing the way Simon talks about the show is so amazing and you can tell there is so much thought, effort and care taken to create this amazing show!!!
Simon seems so genuine and I love how he doesn't just answer questions-he adds some more information! His laughter is very infectious and I enjoyed this interview a lot! he has humor and he has heart. It's really cool to see a showrunner like him to be so blunt but in a sincere way. He's clearly a fan of the show just like us. Your questions were wonderful and creative and I thought it was so cool to hear about how he had limited resources but still managed to create one of the best fight scenes I've seen in the past few years.
In relation to that one question about exploring other characters' backstories and parents, I am actually so interested about Camila's! She seems happy, serves as the comedy relief, and she's one of the newest recruits, so I wonder what her reason is.

I agree! As for Camilla, she mentions a bit of her story to Todd when they are being held at Arq-Tech in ep. 7. She became a nun bc her mom was struggling to feed them both.

Love interviews like these, it serves as a connection to something you are passionate about but have no control of, like having a season renewal - I haven’t been able to move on since I watched the last episode of season 2, trying to invite everyone I know to watch it so we can get a next season. This series is brilliant, well made, perfect casting, great editing and plot twists. I hope Netflix can do justice considering they have a bad rep in renewing wlw/sapphic blended series. It’s a new age we live in. We need more content like this.

I’m glad Simon touched on the vagueness of who Reya actually is. Especially when Adriel says he needs to stop “her”, be interesting to see how they tell that story in S3
so well said by simon about make the talent known not just popularity, i love it. that's what i'm talking about good film. and that being said, thank you for introducing the cast and new faces for us, simon and everyone in the project. love this project, despite the relationship in this, the first thing that got me hooked is how fresh badass group of people make a badass action, and how beautiful each and every picture and film was taken. i was so blown away from episode 1 season 1 since.

I think the Halo would've stopped Ava from aging so I don't think she'll be as old as people think she will. She'll probably maybe be 1 to 2 years older tops.
