I use to live off winward rd on Belmont back then we use have the beach at the bottom of the rd now its a highway

It's nice to see that they've upgraded the area. It couldn't have been done any sooner. The population growth was not anticipated by governments, plus the financing wasn't available until now. This highway helps in lowering crime to a certain degree.

I used to live in Harbour View, and I remember a big clothing store on Winward Rd in the 70s and 80s. I can remember it had steps leading up to the entrance. I caught a glimpse of it in 2007, but I can't find it in your videos. Any clue as to the store I am referring to? I haven't been home in 15 years.
I think it was called Louis Dept store. Next to KFC is at that spot now.
I wasn’t even aware that there was a clothing store in this area. I’ve been in the East since in the 80s myself and as @RosieC061 said the KFC was the only building I know to be in that spot. If you did see it in 2007 maybe it’s at a different location along Windward Road.

I hear people say Jamaica is such a beautiful country I use to live there I use to live over there bring back great memories but I haven't been back for over 20 years or I left their in the 50s or 60s
So can someone please tell me some of the reasons why a lot of unuh have never been back to such a beautiful country it makes me want to believe that foreign is not all that beautiful why people are trapped over there and I mean no criticism of anyone because I myself have only been back once but I know my story but I would very much like to hear from others

Those places use to be my stomping ground I was never afraid to go anywhere lived in in those areas too and it wasn’t scary at all. Sometimes I’m ashamed to tell people I’m Jamaican, now it is notoriously known for criminal activity I would love to just come home and go see all the places I use to roam I use to love those places, sad to know I will never get visit again
