Earlier this year, Cheslie's mother April Simpkins announced a partnership with ‪@NAMICommunicate‬ which has established the Cheslie C. Kyrst memorial fund for mental health. The fund will focus on mental health challenges including high functioning depression.

I think putting a front that she was always bubbly while struggling with depression took a toll on her. It’s important to pull back and take a break sometimes. I can’t imagine having to always appear bubbly and happy…it will break me. Rip beautiful woman!

I don't think that was the sole reason why she unalived herself as she struggled with mental health for a long time. She was so happy because she already had a plan unfortunately. The pageant bashers didn't help. I am also concerned about Zozi who faced the same hate and now having issues with the Miss South Africa Organization.
