Abarth 124 Spider - POV Drive & Record Monza Exhaust Sound

As requested in a couple of comments, I took the Abarth 124 Spider out for a drive on some fun roads and filmed it in POV. I put a GoPro next to the Record Monza Exhaust to get the best sound throughout the video.

Terrific video. That exhaust note is captured perfectly, and has now got me quite convinced to fit the Record Monza to my Abarth (US model which sadly came without). Lovely route, too, looks like a real joy to drive.

They came out in the 2019 model yours mine is a 2018. I just ordered mine from the dealer. It should be here anywhere between now and Christmas.

Delamere forest area. Know it well. I often pass through there on my way to Wales from Derbyshire. I've got a 2018 Fiat 124 black over tan which has been modified with a quad Ascari exhaust. It's also had a stage one tune and MZD software update on the infotainment to include Android Auto and different black/orange Abarth themed graphics. Stock wheels painted gloss black. Many of the silver chrome parts like the roll hoops have been painted black. Didn't want the Abarth version as I wanted a different colour interior and more subtle styling.

Wow. I really want to see if I can fit this to my civic now. Sounds beautiful. Nothing like an Italian exhaust. Just need to justify the $700 price tag for this exhaust🙃

Is that just the standard record monza ? Have you done anything to the exhaust ? It seems louder than my 124 ?

I’m looking at buying my mothers 124 in the next month or two. I’ve test driven the automatic version and found it pops and bangs alot. How did you find getting it to pop and bang in the manual?

You can pretty much guarantee a pop if you shift above 5,000rpm, otherwise it seems to be random - mine just tends to pop a bit more once it's heated up.

Just standard; I put a GoPro by the exhaust to pick up the sound, so it's a little augmented for the video!
