I enjoyed how they showed the emotional turmoil of relationships as a boxing match. it is for sure how it feels. they picked the perfect physical pain to match the internal pain.

I'm so glad to hear it. Kevin had me worried. I have a weird prejudice against cover songs.
So glad I gave this band a chance. The first song I heard was "Oh Ana" and...that one did nothing for me. After that I figured I was done but I kept coming back...I heard "Love It Dissipates"...then this...I'm still checking out the rest of "The Sticks" but I seriously love what I'm hearing now.
There's a song called "Neighbour" from back when they were called "Motherband" which is really really cool too. I don't think I've ever heard anything quite like it.
My first one was body then oh ana and verbatim. Those are my faves but this is also great.
Tim Phillips my first one was “ghosting” and i was kinda... scared to listen? i don’t even know why, my friend send me the song (and she also texted “will you listen to the song?”) and, i was like, coming back to listen to the song but i never listened till the end, it was scaring me. the song was calm, scary, beautiful. so, after at least a month of “not listening till the end” i listened. and it was the best thing i ever did.

People can't seem to grasp that this song is about how people still want to fall in love even though they know there will be pain, but they're willing to go through some emotional pain for a chance at love.

Huh... Was I the only one that thought: 'This is someone trying to instill the will to stand up for themselves in someone they care about?'
The cat trying to encourage and empower the mouse, I hadn't thought of it like that before but that seems to make sense. Especially with the jabbing look of disgust he gives her near the beginning- as if to attempt to bring the one-sidedness of the relationship to an equilibrium. Could it also be seen as a desire to quell feelings of guilt caused by past feelings and actions of hostility that have not been reciprocated?
I think by the end of the video it's apparent that she was afraid to express her feelings for fear of hurting their relationship, so because they were able to transcend the fear of fighting about it they reached a resolution and things worked themselves out.
-Or, did they became so tired of fighting without resolution that they fell back into their habit of depending on each other for support in a game that's only going to return to hostility?
I take the game of cat and mouse and "betting on the birds" to mean that it's better not to get caught up in it. Of falling in love he concludes, "only the unlucky of us get to do it."

Mother Mother is my favourite band of all time, from my hometown, and I love and support them with all my heart! Seen them 4 times live, 5 coming up this June! I've met the whole band and drank beer on a rooftop with them at their CD release party and I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! -3

At first I didn‘t know if I like your music but this song stayed in my head, especially the Part starting from 2:48, this usually does not happen often with new songs I hear. 😊 If I would have known you before I would have been more excited to hear from you. I saw this band live at the commodore last year which my wife talked me into seeing. I didnt know much about them at the time, and that show made me a fan. When you see true artists, they stand out. I had a high opinion of this band but this song shows me that this band really has something special going on and is still improving, and it makes you wonder how far they can go. Some real heart and lots of talent. Its a cruel business being a rock star. I hope these kids keep their shit together
