So glad that someone is finally addressing the body image issue going on with the media. there are so many young girls ruining their bodies to look like celebs and it's getting worse. I admire her for being healthy and taking care of her body!
I have an eleven year old sister who completely looks up to Demi, I'm glad she picked one of the real, down to earth stars to look up to, and not one of the unrealistic stars. Demi is so amazing! I relate to her entirely, I am bipolar, I suffer from depression, self harm and eating disorders, and knowing that I'm not alone and that there are others like me makes living each day bearable.
I'm so proud I can call her my inspiration. I look up to her, she has been through so much and she is honestly one of the strongest people I have ever come across.

Demi is completely right. Media puts so much pressure on girls to lose weight. You see so many magazines advertising tricks to lose weight and all that shit just to make girls feel badly about themselves and to sell issues. I wish more forms of media would promote higher self-esteem and being comfortable with your body. That's why I look up to Demi. Not only did she inspire me to get help for my eating disorders and self-harm addiction, but she's inspired so many others to get help. STAY STRONG!

She got a big hit in Camp rock with Jonas Borthers ( Disney) , behind closed doors she was battling cross addictions, eating disorder ( anorexia/bulimia) and cutting, Disney knew about it but didn't care so she kept on going and she finally broke down in 2010, she got into a fight with one of her dancer, she punched her, she was then sent into a treatment center for 3 months , she was released early 2011 and instead of hiding it, she decided to use it as a way to raise awareness :)
I felt the same a you- I was anorexic for 2 years and after that, everything went well and than I ended up with boulimia and it's still going on. Demi literally helped us trough many doors that no one else could have open.
