    I have this backpack for 8 years now. I can say it's most durable backpack i ever saw. After all this time of intense using incuding using it as sled (dont ask about it) only issues are: PVC layers inside of main chamber peeled off, one of zips is not opening fully, material is slightly worn at the bottom and upper edges and colour faded a little bit. Except this it feels totally fine.

    I have been using this backpack for the past 2 years almost every day. From my personal experience I found this back pack very easy to use very durable cause I don't really take care of it and really comfortable.The only thing I thought it was missing but this is my personal opinion and added it by myself is chest straps.For it's money I would suggest it to anybody a really well built and comfortable backpack for an everyday basis use.
    Tnx for your review.I found it great!

    Nice and honest video.
    Great backpack (36l one). I use it 3-4 times a week.
    Mountain biking, backpacking, going to recreation, 3day trips... EVERYTHING. Zippers, material, space, shoulder straps, every day abuse.... Hands down number 1 in my book.
    For these kind of mony, TOP.
    Negative sides:
    - back is tribal for longer periods,
    - no chast strap (like you said it, heap strap is useless),
    - no strap management (new model has it),
    I would recommend getting one.
    Best regards.

      @@paxter2154 If I am not mistaken the backpack comes in 20L and 36L capacities. I have the larger one, it is as the video says "a workhorse". It will never let you down and the zippers are bulletproof. Yes you can use it for everyday activities. I use mine for carrying around the city my (old and large 17in) laptop, large books, chargers, a set of clothes etc at once no problem. It gets a little heavy around 10 kg ~20 pounds but not uncomfortable. Have it now for 6-7 years, don't remember exactly. If you want a carry on in planes it is a no brainer. The price is getting up lately, as is anything else I suppose.

  • @PowermadNavigator
    @PowermadNavigator Před 5 lety +8

    I've used mine for three years now, mainly for airsoft and the occasional hiking. I've got a 36l one so it's relatively useful. Still pretty much looks like new, they've got some newer models now including a laser cut mesh instead of molle if you're into that.
    I can sincerely say that I am pretty happy with the backpack, for the price... it performs great, I would put it up there with backpacks which are easily 20-30 euros more expensive. I have just seen it work compared to certain more expensive backpacks.
    If you put a plastic or aluminium sheet on the back it really improves things and makes it better for hiking and I've had mine hit trees, branches, dirt, it has been dragged, thrown, squashed, dropped and after washing it it's got not scratches or anything.
    MFH also make an "Assault II" type backpack which is 50l as opposed to Mil-Tec's 36l. It has got a single compartment and is a bit cheaper... but the quality is pretty below on my opinion. It has some features that the Mil-Tec one doesn't which don't really make sense to me.
    For example, it has two outlets for a hydration bladder on the left and right side. But that single compartment it has has no pocket for a hydration bladder. You just have to throw it in there with the rest of your stuff and hope for the best. Not ideal. Its zippers also don't have the Mil-Tec quality and I have taken it to just a few airsoft games and it has only been dragged a bit once, has definitely not gone through 1% of what the Mil-Tec bag has gone through and there are already scratches and shit.
    The waist belt on the MFH has metal buckles, which can be an advantage, but they are not that thick and the waist belt I found just keeps coming off so I just took it of for fear of losing it. The carry handle is not so good, but overall, I'd prefer a metal waist belt buckle.
    It also has D, rings, the outer pockets are bigger, but... I'd go with the Mil-Tec one. They are about the same price, the MFH one is a bit cheaper.

    late, but i will say, never really had any water issue with my 20L version, give or take its the model with the PVC coated or something like that and it runs very well so far, but now i decided to get a larger 36L one but in the normal fabric look. Now the water leaking issue that might happen from the zipper hole can easily be fixed if you just off set the zipper, one side or the other. But as suggested, you can very much just get a backpack rain cover to keep it very dry.

    MY REVIEW: (I was just looking for a place to review this backpack and found this video, so decided to leave my short humble review here).
    Considering it cost me a 35€, i'm quite satisfied. But as i bought it brand new in 2016 and for today november 2020, it's basically unusable, i wouldn't really recommend it and neither i wouldn't buy it again. 4 years for a backpack is way too short time to rate a backpack as high quality. I didn't use my it for camping neither, it was more for just going to the car, and getting it out of the car type of activities. I did squeeze it full of lots of stuff though. It was obviously abit too little for my needs, but still - i expected it to be more durable. MAIN PROBLEM - After 4 years, the inside zipper/pocket is broken, but the biggest issue is that the main pocket's zipper is failing and now is basically completely unusable. Simply the zippers on this bag are shite to be fair and this makes it very unreliable and imo defn not suitable for camping. Anyway's that was my experience, if anybody has a good backpack recommendation for me (because now i need a new one) then shoot! Thanks for attention :)

    Hey buddy. I'm a stickler when it comes down to the quality of the zippers companies use for packs like this. Example being that they often will snap or split like a jacket. How did the zipper system work for you throughout the 5 years you had this pack? So far this has been my top pick for my next pack and I want to make sure I'm getting what I'm paying for.

    • @Imyouruncle
      @Imyouruncle  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi, the zippers never failed on me, they are still working great to this day. They are solid and I cannot say anything bad about them. I hope this helps. And if you buy this backpack, let me know if it is what you were looking for.

    • @AfterShock777
      @AfterShock777 Před 5 lety +1

      I'm your uncle, I did end up buying one. The design and overall size is what I’m looking for. I also did a quick video reply to show you what I generally look for when buying a pack.

    • @uiopuiop3472
      @uiopuiop3472 Před 3 lety

      Laser cut if you want to look slick, don't require swapping the pouches often, and don't care if it looks a bit torn after having a heavier pouch or item on it for longer periods of time. If you need durability and don't need slickness, this model is the way to go
