Jokes aside, it's not impossible to memorize it. Someone with eidetic memory (like Sheldon Cooper) or just with an extremely well-trained memory (which has been shown countless times, I recommend the bestseller Peak: Science of Expertise by Anders Ericsson) could do it quite easily.
Not to mention, Michael has low latent inhibition which usually sacrifices memory for attention to detail. He is unable to focus at one thing intently because he is more used to focusing on multiple things at once.
