if you guys are listening to this music, consider this argument. Most of these songs from the 60's 70's and to some extent from the 80's were primarily in the "non visual" era. Sure we watched many of these songs in a movie hall, but we didn't have this with visual stimulation day in and day out. This was mostly evident to the lyricists and music directors and singers. They created melodies that resonated with your aural senses. You had to LISTEN to these songs. Two main ingredients of the songs those days was the music and the lyrics. They were both, extraordinary in MOST cases. Because, that was what sold the music/movie. We listened to these songs day in and day out, on radio, on our cassette players. This is why we remember them. We built a relationship with these songs. They are a part of our lives.
Today's music is good, but they are based so much on VISUALS. They are created to sell based on how many people view them. The lyrics and the music itself isn't as important HOW IT LOOKS and SOUNDS. And anything visual is fleeting, till the next bright object comes along. Therefore we forget them, we don't get a chance to remember and put them into our blood stream. Very few music directors and lyricist create songs like those days ( just a handful, and you can probably name them on one hand).
At the end, we the public determine what gets thrown at us. If we like crap and we pay for crap, albeit for a little while, the producers of music want to make money and they will feed us the crap. Support good music, buy those CD's Vinyls. Stop watching ITEM SONGS on CZcams and make them popular. You will automatically notice superb music and lyrics surface itself now and then. We control the product!
Beautifully expressed. Agree that the older songs were so engaging at multiple levels
It's the same with how we perceive women. If we treat her like a se x object, she will accept it like it's happening today. If we treat them with kindness and respect then we are on the path to salvation
Extremely well articulated. A true connoisseur!! Cheers to you.
❤indeed in college days we used to say there was a time when KL Saiga dang and we we listened nowadays (then late 80s) Baba Saigal songs and people watch
Uff, brilliantly written bhai. Agree with each and every word you typed!
The great Mukesh got national award for this song! Excellent composition by Salil da!

So many emotions encapsulated in this Song.............: From unanswered prayers, unrequited love, unwavering disillusionment, unresolved disappointments, and unfulfilled expectations. A lifetime is not enough to parse through the many different strands of sorrow...........................

Very true. Also I'd like to point out that Mukesh beat Lata for National award for her song 'rajnigandha' with this gem
True about everything. One slight correction, I believe: The year he won was 1974 for this fantastic, seemingly effortless rendition.
Mukesh ji was known as Father of tragedi.
Salil Saheb always takes the listener to an imaginary world. His music usually creates a feeling very difficult to explain.

This film had jus two songs - this one and other by Lata ji “Rajnigandha pyaar tumhara” title track. And both are so beautiful, melodious, calming. You don’t need 13 songs to mk any album memorable or classic. Jus 2-3 are enough. Like Anand has jus 4 songs - all four are timeless. Basu da’s other masterpiece - Choti si baat has 3 songs. Minimal but melodious and simple. That was Salil da’s work. 🙏
Magic created by Salil Chowdhury, Mukesh and Yogesh ... Generations to come will get inspired by such songs
Great song such as this.. what was the inspiration? I think those guys had the real knowledge because people worked harder and were down to earth - livid close to reality .. "For the mind is restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, and to subdue it is, it seems to me, more difficult than controlling the wind. "

Everything is subjective in this song, the restrained emotions of the actress Vidya Sinha described very much in details by the lyrics and vocals by the legend Mukesh, you can feel the emotions of the actress from the soul touching music by the uncomparable Salil Chaudhary.
There is so much emotion and soul in the song that you can actually feel what the actress is going through.......alas the lost golden days of soul touching music.......the mindless music and lyrics of "DJ wale babu mera gaane bajade" today makes me sick.
At least we have these great memories that we never tire of listening again and again.........many thanks for the upload.

Beauty is what one perceives with or without makeup, cloths.
@@madanduBut it's a common belief that many women think that the key to their beauty lies in the bottom of their make-up bag. There are a million & one reason why people believe that. Because they're judged on their appearance, pop culture...&...mass media support those judgements, & big business makes its money off shamelessly promoting the before & after effects of their miraculous products. The truth is, being beautiful doesn't come from a lipstick tube, mascara wand or blush brush. The following 7 factors creates a more lasting impression than any amount of make-up ever could.
1. Her passion
2. Her compassion
3. Her mind
4. Her fun-loving spirit
5. Her resilience
6. Her confidence
7. Her energy

कितना सही कहा आपने , सचमुच एक अलग ही दुनिया थी , और हम भी बहोत सिदेसाधे और भोले हुवा करते थे । यह दिन और बचपन अब यादे ही रहणगे ।
While I agree with everything you said about life in the 70s it was also the time when unemployment was rife even for engineers, there was a housing crisis in Mumbai with no houses available on rent, holiday travels were a nightmare especially getting tickets on the Indian railways. So while we get nostalgic everything about the past need not be idyllic😊
