Hi there! thx for the vid, very usefull!! ;) question: can I make soft palettes with any kind of fixtures? Im working with a group of cameo auro spot Z300 and no way of recording it... any advide? thx a lot
Great tip. But now I can not pick colors the old way, becaus it changes back when I click "clear". How to fix this? Should I link it back or what? and how to link back?
Hey Grega. I think you forgot to set your region, or to set your soft palette to "link" under the button type option in your execute window. Tutorial timestamp 2:38 goes deeper into this.
It is, you can record the fade time into the soft palette as well. 1. Select your soft palette (this one will always have fade) 2. Press a number on the keypad (fade time in seconds)
What could i did wrong? I did everything the same, but in col FX its not working properly.. LIke while my fader is UP colours don't change. When I release my playback and activate again colours are changing to new values.. What's the reason?
I tried it and it works for a while. Suddenly it stops working. I started a new Show and tried it again without success. Are there any important settings that needs to be done?
That means you did something wrong and the palettes are in your programmer. Soft palette is not set to link probably, or something went wrong while setting the region.
Hi!! Do you know how to give the encoders a function? Like use the 8 encoders to control a 8channels led light, without going specifically to the colour palette or group palette, etc thank you.
I tried to use the 2col fx with the two palettes, but when i start the fx, my soft palette 1 is not working. I followed all the steps and still nothing, I can change only soft palette 2. I use version 1.8.5.6. Still cool video though!
Eindelijk eens iemand die het goed uitlegt, want mijn collega kan er niets van.
Dankjewel Cedric! Ik ben gigantisch geholpen na de demonstratie van jouw workflow!
Can you do more Chamsys videos like this? This is really great.
Amazing video, been wondering about these for a while. First tutorial to explain it this throughly I’ve found!
That's amazing to hear! Glad I can help!!
Thank you so much for this video! I always recorded colours into the execute window as cues. This opens a whole new world to me😅
Soft palettes are great!
Cedric, your the best. Thank you for sharing this. I will be following you.
Still don't understand this but great video!
Haha thanks bro! Maybe you need to learn some stuff about lighting before you learn functions in Chamsys :D
Gah
Looks so much faster and more intuitive than than the methods for doing this in MA2
Also wish onyx did this kinda thing :P
It's a super fast workflow indeed! It also has loads of possibilities, I encourage you to get creative with it!
Dope vid man! Keep it up

Great Video How would I do the same With Chageing Gobo and Pos Live?
I’ve attempted to follow the same steps for GOBOs but don’t get the expected result of live changes. Any pointers?
I link my soft buttons and only one-row works.
hey, I work on cam sys I did all that you did but for some weird reason the soft palate doesn't work at al ... any idea what can I do?
Did you record the soft palette inside your cue stack?
Great tip. But now I can not pick colors the old way, becaus it changes back when I click "clear". How to fix this? Should I link it back or what? and how to link back?

Is it possible to set the colors to fade in the soft palette as opposed to snapping?

THANSK@ you have a lot of talent
No problem and thank you!!
Hello,
because if I create the soft palette it is not multicolored but the jelly comes out white?

Did you manage to resolve the issue? I have the same experience with FX where colors only change after moving the fader down and up.
Thanks for this. I don't think you need to change that setting at the start to make this work though.
Your right but it does make changing fx's look a lot smoother r
I tried it and it works for a while. Suddenly it stops working. I started a new Show and tried it again without success. Are there any important settings that needs to be done?
On the execute page when you press clear you cannot select your colours how do you fix that
That means you did something wrong and the palettes are in your programmer. Soft palette is not set to link probably, or something went wrong while setting the region.
Thanks mate I got it now
