- Misting might not help a lot, but it won't hurt! It does NOT replace watering, or a humidifier!

What topics should we go over in the next vid?
Anything related to beginners. Problems with pests, watering methods, substrate for different species, low light plants, ect.
@@jessicaforsman7388 Thank you SOOO much for responding!! I'll put these ideas down for upcoming videos!
Unless you've already done it, how often to change soil?
good stuff and prooagating cacti pups is a subject along with how soon should you allow your indoor plantz to go outside!thank you sooo much!
Thanks for these videos. They are very helpful for a beginner houseplant grower 👍👍
Glad you like them!
Very informative video. I’m suffering with brown edges right now. Humidifying is helping a bit. I have four plants rn and they all require a slightly different watering schedules.
Yes humidity differences can be tough! Especially if you’re doing Calathea / Anthurium/ something finicky! Try and pin down the watering schedule too for those sensitive ones too
If your most your calathea inside the house and there is no air flowing like in the nature, won’t that let the droplets just sit in the leaves which can create fungus ?
The water droplets will just evaporate into the air and increase the relative humidity in that room (marginally) 😄
When using a humidifier do you just leave it on or do you turn it off at a certain time of day or night ? I have a Calathea I’m trying to save ?????
I can’t keep a house plant they always die eventually! I live Vegas 🥵🥵🥵🥵 beginner houseplant mum
I have one that goes on and off using a set point. Calatheas are so hard. It’s VERY likely you have spider mites. Calatheas get mites super easy. Treat with neem as prevention, and give it humidity above 65%. They’re such hard plants to keep alive!
I put all my Calatheas 1 foot away from the humidifier getting a steam directly on the leaves and they are still brown. I also keep the soil moist I just can’t understand it most of the time 😓
I feel your pain. As long as it's happening to the older leaves, and not the newest leaves, it's kinda how calatheas are :/ Make sure the plant is getting lots of light and has good fertilizer in the soil too!
@@prettyingreen I though Calathea doesn’t like bright light
@@mayac2266 Not direct sunlight that would sunburn you, but bright indirect light :)
How about we use diffuser?
Yup! That's exactly what we use in one of our grow spaces :)
Couldn’t you just get a regular humidifier?
Yup! That’s the best option
Misting the leaves will kill them.
Hasn't killed mine and I mist them every few months.
Oh, well then that's fine. Also, I live in a tropical country. Forgot to say that.
So tired of the misting arguments. If you live in the SOUTHERN US, probably don't need to mist...in AZ, I HAVE to mist
