@@Smeginator “was not kind” dude mailed his costars used condoms and dead animals to ‘help them get in character and know he was really the joker.’ He can live his life but he’s definitely a little “different.” Not to mention his cult that he travels with to an island resort, that are almost all women.

As an actor myself, it frustrates me when others stay in character the entire time (i.e. they can’t turn it off when the cameras stop)

I haven't watched it yet but I am wondering if your review of the new cut is biased in anyway? Or can you honestly say that your review can be impartial. Did the new cut allow for greater character development and sub plots to improved as well?
4 hours and I still feel like we're being short-changed. It should've been 3 movies.
Hmm I haven’t seen it, but I look forward to watching it. I was disappointed with the original, not because of editing, but because it should’ve been laid out more like the Avengers series. Possibly building to the Universe ending monster over 3 movies. That would leave enough time for character development and a few more fleshed out bad guys.
The problem is as a stand alone movie it counts on you already knowing everything about every character in order to feel anything about them emotionally. As a stand alone you don’t really give a crap about anyone in the movie at all. That’s why it sucked.
Leto's best movie is "Requiem for a dream".
I would say Dallas Buyers’ Club is second
His Joker is my second favorite Joker in live action now! I seriously would love to see him in the role again. His Joker in ZSJL is incredible. Happy that he was able to play the character again and absolutely kill it!

It was better for sure, but it was a low bar to start from. It was also way too brief to take much from it. Maybe if they did a sequel against all odds he could flesh it out more.
His joker is easily the worst. To see his joker again after watch Phoenix take on the role was rough.

The acting was good, I was a bit sad that it was kinda clear that they couldn't get all the actors on set at the same time. Still, great great premise with a lot of opportunity!
He is such an amazing actor and a talented musician. So much range! I can't wait to see him as Morbius!
I always appreciated the idea of Leto’s Joker being one that was pleasure obsessed and openly wealthy. Fans were upset that he didn’t embody anarchy and the rejection of society.... but in the same way we’ve had Russian Superman or any other multiverse hero incarnation, the archetype can and should be toyed with.
I don't see why everyone's so upset because there's a version of this joker in the comics. And I applaud them for trying something different.

Leto is so chilling in The Little Things. Totally underrated and misunderstood movie. It wasn't trying to be another Seven; it was trying to do something different.

Theres a reason why the script for that movie was written in the 90s and rejected by many studios and was eventually made and released now. Great cast, but the movie was a complete missed opportunity, not great sadly.

Zack snyder's justice league was an absolute masterpiece. They have to continue the storyline with the cliffhanger they ended. Looking forward to many for synder's Justice league

He was terrible in Suicide Squad, it almost ruined his career. If Leto was so good as Joker, Phoenix wouldn't have been cast as The Joker. Yes, I know it's a different universe. However, if Leto's Joker received acclaim. Todd Phillips wouldn't have had the balls to make another Joker film. Thankfully, we now live in a world where we can have two great Jokers, played by two great actors around the same time. This has never happened before.

@@rickardkaufman3988 I don't even think it's the script, Joker is in one scene. He doesn't affect the plot in any way. I think Leto just did whatever and Ayer being a mediocre director just said "that's great Jared, just keep doing that". Whereas Snyder must have told Jared exactly how he wants this Joker to be. Much darker, creepier and less camp. When a great actor has the right guidance, he can accomplish wonders.
i thought he was actually a pretty good Joker. he and Joaquin Phoenix both give the character a lot more personality than you usually see him given anymore. in the comics he's basically just a one-dimensional murder machine nowadays, like Jason Voorhees but without the sympathetic qualities.
