    How can two ute’s be built on the same platform and be so far apart that Mazda looks amazing!

  •  Před 3 lety +34

    I am disappointed about the style of the taillights. They really look cheap and don't match Mazda's new design language. I know, that there are some design limits from the Isuzu platform, but something more appealing, like 2 circular lights or some stripes should be possible. I also miss a full-LED option.

    To stop the pings and bongs when driving just change the setting to Visual only - turn the Audible off. You only need to do it once, not every time you get in the vehicle. 👍 These new BT50s are a great unit, sweet ride for a work Ute 👍👌

      Slartibartfast Jnr Not needed but nice in the mountains during winter. -5C or colder is not cold by northern hemisphere standards but a regular feature in our alpine areas. ...it’s mainly because of the trend to leather seats. Fabric seats, no heating required.

    Great point about Ford improving and updating the ranger platform. Sales have shown the results of fords efforts. Me personally I'd sooner buy a second hand ute and build an off roader. Hope shopping centre car parks size improve they seem to be getting narrow. Great review

      Completely disagree. But I'm in the States, where everything is designed to look like a shipping container with wheels. People around here buy massive hulks to do daily driving and transport furniture once a year. We desperately need small, comfortable vehicles with beds, but you cannot find them.

    • @letsseeif
      @letsseeif Před 3 lety

      @@chooseymomschoose Yes. I agree. Lived in Louisville '80 '81 working study and flying & with a young family. Owned a $1500 ultra low mileage Mercury Grand Marquis Brougham, 19 feet long and 7777cc V8. Too big, but cushion like ride. Even recently when I visit The States (not during Covid19), very big SUV's are a big feature. In our Northern Territory, we've got 'road trains', which are the usual Huge trucks with multiple trailers. Agree that small 'city' cars are great but, now they have to have so much safety tech., it's hard to justify the price.

      Wildtrack ride seemed harsh over rough country roads, 40 kms made me feel nauseous, 2lt had plenty of power, well finished but couldn't put up with the ride quality, salesman was quick to slag off the Dmax, he hadn't done his homework so I wouldn't have bought from him.
      Amorok has great power, ride was a bit harsh but liveable, interior has a lot of hard plastic and is due for an update, small info screen and indicators / wipers being on the opposite sides was a deal breaker for me.
      I'm a bit biased, I've had 2 Isuzu based utes over the last 20 years (TD Rodeo and RC Colorado) both have been trouble free with hard farm use.

    It’s funny when looking at what is available in the range of utes. I wouldn’t actually buy a Mazda or an Isuzu. Not because they aren’t good. but because they are almost (and I say this with hesitation, lol. Knock offs?). Car yards do this a lot “the Isuzu is based on wildtrak” and “Mazda is based on the Isuzu”. And yes you guys say the same thing. So why wouldn’t I just buy a wildtrak? Or in Mazda’s case an Isuzu?
    They have both waited a little to long to upgrade. with this idea that they are based on more popular models... yeah nah, I’m hearing that and thinking, no worries, I’ll go look at Ford :)
