There are two drawbacks to Astra. The self-damage and the accuracy. So I mounted them on five heavy frames and fused for spread+reload. You can probably find the bare bones version on hexhib by the parts: astra, omnibox, doppler, flywheel, neutrino, icarus IV
Im only like 5 or 2 minutes into the video but I can definitely say that it is more powerful than scorpions but, you are right with the drawback and in my opinion they are great but they are impractical so I would not use them. Other than that I will say that you did an amazing job on this video JB!
Astraeus have a slightly higher base damage than scorps, but they don't have the scorp perk. So only single target damage is better, everything else is worse
If it’s a concern to manage the durability of whatever pass-throughs the astraeus is mounted on, you can still do partial charged shots. They still deliver a slight increase in damage and armour pen, without the cost of self damage. Muscle memory and reflexes are the only problems with this

What I like about the Astraeus is that they feel so rewarding to shoot and they give me a challenge when building. The second build loses the Omamori after 17 overcharges, but for losing a weapon I stopped counting at 40. The only issue is when a cannon or something hits your left side right in the passthrough parts, then you tend to lose the upper gun. I still don't have a fix for that.

I built a 7.7k astraeus build, not to sealclub. But because im poor, it uses a jannabi cabin, camber wheels, a regular chameleon, a PU-1 charge, an averter, and a dun horse engine. I only play PVE so its a fun art build to use. Usually i just go sneaky mode and drift around enemies and slap them. I once did 1244 to a spider tank bot that got full heated, direct cabin shot kill, i love astraeus.
Astraeus does not deal self damage to itself, and a combination of the kronos cabin with the averter works well if using damage pass-through parts, while just placing an averter against frames is also great as frames have tons of durability and 75 % damage let-through, depending on your playstyle the master cabin might also be an option...
Wasn’t expecting to hear armored core 6 music in Crossout and it’s a choice one
finally you try out one of my idea kronos + astraeus those sniper weapons strong as scorpions when full charge but reload little longer
oh september 4 weekly challenge come back but 1100 badges max complete those without clan. less reward last time because last time anyone can do more than 1700 badges if challenges complete fast enough one week

Astraeus is basically scorps with a slight delay but increased damage in return.
they also got far less pen, so there dmg falls off if you need to pen multiple small parts

JB, where did you get the red smoke? Can you give me the name of it? I think a smoke module would be cool,to counter snipers
Might need to get myself these and Scorps... They're pretty damn cool

U need guns on more shoot thru parts. So dmg gets devided and guns dont fall off as quickly
The build stats at the beginning of the round were a nice touch
I use them on the Cabin that give me DMG Resistenz when i get DMG (Heavy Cab)
And a Tanky build

.Well i just got the pack, and put an offer for another of these things, just in time for the incoming nerf😂. Ohh well ill try them out.
I finally have some time with these. I only got them after the nerf. I have mine fuzed for durability, penetration, velocity. They are still fun to play,but i feel a reload cabin and module are necessary. I mount each on a gun mount, two elbows, and the cabin. Gives a good amount of charge shots
U really have to try it with the deads man cap and omni wheels

The back side.
Either shoot low, the armor does not go all the way down or go for the non armor back side. The player will keep you from getting that back side tho

Excuse me but what the hell happening in the game. I tried this gun one months ago with test drive but i could deal only under 100dmg to my car. Honestly i think this gun is good agaisn noob builds, u just have to aim well

I think blight needs a nerf instead… because they give extra range and extra damage

it was probably the scorpion shot it off one hit lol gajin plays with themselves to much.
i never liked these. mainly because you do damage to yourself per charged shot. Especially when our guns already are extremely fragile and cant be repaired. and you have to be accurate. but i guess they can work.
