If you go walking Allah comes running. The best counseling you can give yourself is Quran. Don't loose yourself rather love your self, pick up yourself and throw yourself to him.

Hi all, I am a Muslim struggling to commit to my prayers and to stop listening to music. One night I was listening to my usual playlist and was so stressed about everything such as exams, and OCD, until I decided to try a studying nasheed and oh my, I thank Allah for this! Hello Brother. Do you know, what the word Allah means? Allah is not a name of a God. Allah is arabic translation of the word "God'. Jesus used to call god by the word iLah in Hebrew. Other prophets used to call Allah by the word Elaha (which means God in Aramaic). In Hindi we call Bhagwan, in urdu Khuda. So, we muslims are not just praying to any God. We are praying to the only God (who created everything). If you came here, may be Allah wants to guide you on the right path. If you are here, then go a few steps ahead and read Quran once. I am sure it will change your life for good.

@@1Anisa Music causes the brain to release dopamine, that's why it is addictive and sometimes we cannot concentrate without that temporary feeling. With Nasheeds though you have remembrance of your creator without the drug of musical instruments. And Quran is just something else especially when you find a reciter that you like.
