Oh! An idea for the “first line” spread, maybe instead of having a dedicated page to write all those lines for all the different books, you could incorporate the first line into the spread for each individual book? That way you could do some cool designs for the word art? Idk if that makes sense!
Ahh I'm glad you like the Carls' spread, I always get a little nervous making a spread on a book someone recommended to me haha. And I really like your idea for the first lines!! I used to sometimes incorporate them, but never did any special lettering with them so will definitely try that out!

I wish I had your artistry - so beautiful! And looking forward to your new 2024 look! I do think that Storygraph sometimes bolsters genres you like by saying 'this book had this theme too' but it's not quite a full romance or whatever. Glad you liked Book Lovers! I see from your spreads that you read a lot of Jane Austen - interested to hear your thoughts on these. Vanishing Half and Rebecca are on my tbr!
Thank you!! I did a lot of Jane Austen rereads and really liked rediscovering them, I particularly have a new appreciation for Persuasion. Both the Vanishing Half and Rebecca were great reads, highly recommend them both!
