    If you kill it, eat it...excepting maybe rats. A good code to live by.

    And that’s what it’s all about! Great vid 👍🏻 we useto use pebbles from are local rocky beach which has the most perfect round shape stones about the size of a small marble was what we’d collect and with roughly a matched band and a smaller more round shape stone you’d be surprised just how accurate u can be, I still know one old poacher who uses them and hey he’s still alive and healthy with a good meal every day from those pebbles 👍🏻

    Thanks! There's not too many instruction vids out there concerning rocks. Myself, I suck with rocks, but I'll test your method and hope to improve 👍

    My choice of ammo was a good round pebble before I got on to lead and steal and good shooting as well

    Like taking s step back in time , great fun. So slow is better, interesting, would like to see more examples using Simple Shots band selection, I know I’m wanting you to do all the work, guilty as charged, but your knowledge and skill is by far better then most here , thanks

    Good job! Rocks are definitely hard to put on target.

    I shoot rocks too. The rocks go way above the treetops. It can shoot more than 200 feet up

    You know your sport, good job. It is funny with rocks as you will get an oblong/pill shape that fits the pouch and it might fly straight and true. I always try to avoid knife edged rocks and stick to at least more cube-ish & pill. Your pouch is right on. I believe many slingshot shooters have a tendency to over power their ammo.

    Very nice shots Man Rock shooting is the oldest way to shoot with a Slingshot and in my opinion it is a good way to have fun without let Amunition of Mettal or Plastic in the Nature and its Amunition for free!!! Another way to have good Amonition that is Earth friendly is to make it out from Clay and let it dry it is more accurate because it is round but Rocks are good too thank You for showing Greetings from Germany God bless You and Your beloved ones Javor🇩🇪😉

    Fantastic and very informative Dan, thank you for posting this . Do you think the bags of smallish river Rock like Home Depot carries would be any more accurate than yard stones ?

    Dan i was wondering what a good taper for about a 30 inch draw length with .30 latex using .44 lead and 1/2 steel would be for squirrels

    • @danshootsslingshots1261
      @danshootsslingshots1261  Před 5 lety

      1and 1/8 to 7/8 inch. I wouldn't have an extreme taper with that heavy of ammo.

    • @robellenberger6816
      @robellenberger6816 Před 5 lety

      Ok thank you what about using 3/8 steel going at some where from 250 to 300 fps still asking for a taper from .30 latex please

      @@danshootsslingshots1261 if i had a .30 latex with a 1 inch to 3/4inch taper with .38 steel how fast would that be going if you knew off the top of your head

    Badly needed: instructional vid on meaningful, progressive practice - from beginning (hitting a barn door), to hitting a 1” target at 10 M..., i.e. *how* to practice!
