My entire adult life...she and NPR Fresh Air have been there. I can't define my life without it. She opens the door to so many lives of people out there, that I wouldn't know. It really teaches you of humanity. By listening to their stories on Fresh Air, it made me to cheer up and stand up again, when I found myself in a dark and very low point...or to be humble when I was at the high point of my life.

What surprised me, the first time I saw Terry Gross, was that she wasn't young! Her voice sounds *decades* younger than she appears. I wonder if she has a vocal coach? Having such a smooth voice, with crisp diction & varying tones, & such great breath control, may be "natural talent" when you're young; but to keep it into senior years as Ms. Gross has takes dedication & conscious work.
Plus, I'd like to strew flowers before her as she walks for her comment about Mr. O'Reilly. Brava!!
