I agree. Some lessons are good for anyone. As we go seldom to the mountains the time is short, we're trying to enjoy it and learning by doing is all we can get.
What month as this? The snow looks amazing! Is it still this nice in Feb?
It was mid March. I also have some videos in February. Actually, in Sölden you get decent snow beginning of April

Why is your friend still braking instead of using his board edges to control his ride, speed and direction? 🤔
I assume it's just hard to change habits when you ride couple of times a year. I will try to tell him this next time we're on the mountain.
