I don't know if you know this. I always give my adventuring sims the prepared traveler and opportunistic lifetime rewards as they can stay 3 more days without any visa level and then they earn more visa points. With the right planning I can usually get to visa level 3 and buy a vacation house in the first 6-day trip.
