G-WAGON TWO DOOR SQUARED BUILD

Some three years ago I had a great idea. The new G was just released. Another nut case in Finland had just made a SWB G with the newest new look (originally it's a 350TD-1993) I was sure MB was going to make a squared model of these later, as they did with the previous model. So I bought the car and designed and ordered bits and pieces needed to do this before MB would. Unfortunately this project took more time than expected so MB was first to launch theirs, with 4 doors though..
This has been a big project, again bigger than you think. Nothing was bolt on...

Love the build. I would definitely push the wheels out further. Maybe the portal axels will help.

Yes, can't go out further without more hight = portal axles

​@@ronicollin7992 you can also take a look at Sprinter 4x4 axles, they fit the G in most every way, work the same but are at least 5cm wider on both sides.. that is if you dont want to put the square boxes on it. Nice build!

7:19 In my eyes the carbon fenders reach too wide compared to the wheels. I would probaply slap a set of spacers there or order a new set of wheels with way more negative offset, or both😅

Needs more lift for more aggressive fitment. It's maxed out with this hight. Portal axles would solve this.

Tyylikäs! Oon aivan heikkona näihin mesen G malleihin. Joku Suomessa laittoi Teslan akustoa sekä sähkömoottoreita ym tollaseen mutta vanhempaan G Wagoniin. Mitenkähän se projekti edennyt.

Yes, it has the stock 350TD engine and drivetrain.
