In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. We were in an old fashioned restaurant today that had a wood bladed brass ceiling fan. I automatically said “A little scrappy scrap scrap”, my wife now thinks I have totally lost it! Happy times.

The thing at 3:00 is a trash compactor. My grandparents had one in the Eighties, and I used to get a huge kick out of pressing the button to smoosh the trash.

Mike sir big fan long time but someone suggested taking that iPad to the police and just for your information I've been into computer technology for going on 38 years and I've had a few times where situations came up where I suspected things were stolen and I've taken them to the police station a couple of times and only a couple of times because a friend of mine who is a cop that had been a cop a long time informed me that I shouldn't do that simply because I screwed up and chaotic as the system is it tends to fall short, and he advised me never to bring stolen items to the police station because possession is 9/10 of the law and they could turn around and charge you for it which I had to learn the hard way like I said after the second time that kind of situation happened I stopped being foolish if you suspect it's been stolen I would suggest and this was his suggestion which was to bring it up to the police station lay it in front of their door and walk off leaving it to avoid any possible complications from it it sounds crazy but I literally went through it to get it off of my record and everything for months and actually just to get it scrubbed ended up paying a $1,700 fine for stolen property so sir and short I hope this helps and you and anyone else out there not a good idea! I went dumpster diving today and I found 2 Iwatani 35FW butane burners. Not scrap. Both work great.👍🏾 Cha Ching 🤑
When you find possible stolen goods and you don’t want to be blamed for it, call the police and tell them when you will drop it by and make them keep a record of your phone call.
He has it recorded anyway so I would do the same thing and try to get it back to it's owner

I sympathize with you ,had mine off several yrs ago .hurt so bad ,even worse when it got infected from the Dr using dirty surgical tools .
I almost lost my big toe from the infection ,I was on 3 different types of antiboditics .till it finally cleared up .

Our family used to go to a weekly auction way back in the day. Friday nights in Los Molinos California. Whenever a toilet seat came out of a krap box, the auctioneer would always announce, "We have a picture frame for the mother in law." That always brought the house down. I sure miss those days. Good times!
I wondered if you'd found such as that before. Stolen purses, ditched weapons and dumped kittens/puppies and mercy knows what else. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to find the rightful owner. We would vouch for the Scavenger! Always enjoy tagging along. Stay safe and GOD bless
I remember him finding multiple stolen bags/purses but there's usually nothing of value in them. He also rescued stuck racoons(no pets as far as I know, thank god)
@@Firejoker54 He's come across at least one cat in a dumpster, but there was a hole in the dumpster big enough for it to escape, which it did.

I recently found a honey hole for brass . Plumbing place throws away all of it. Urinals are great for brass very heavy and almost always brasss

you are right this ipad could be stolen.
its not that much of a risk, I’ve personally found these before. i usually try to contact the owners of devices that i find are locked before wiping them.
yes devices can be followed, but usually you have some warning sign that it is going on such as “this device is lost. call this number”.

I found a laptop, passport, $150 Canadian, some other items in my apartment dumpster once. Went through the stuff looking for contact information. I found an e-mail address on the backpack. Contacted it. A few days later the owner responded. Seems she was in Salt Lake City at a convention. As she was riding Trax (our light rail system) to the airport to go back to Canada her backpack grew legs and walked away. She had a hard time getting back to Canada, or even a hotel room without her ID, without her money. And she had a lot of family pictures stored on her computer.
I cannot imagine what I would do without money or identification in a foreign country.
I have those chickens from my grandparents farm. They are collectible.
