Wow! before anyone else throws up any more criticism, realize that This Is A CITY COMMUNITY THEATRE with volunteer actors and support so judge it accordingly. I cant believe how critical everyone is of this clip!
OMG...it's amazing...how do I ever end up always seeing the same videos as you...:) I think the beast make up and costume was great. And you all must remember that Angela is a legend, and this woman did a good job at this. I think people are being unfair. And the movie version is the movie version, no one will ever change that. It is one of the greatest movies ever made and it will live forever. This is a stage production,
I can't wait to do this scene in my school play, we'd doing the jr version. I like the singer for this, but her voice doesn't suit the song, I like Belle's dress however it seems mildly frumpy. But for a community theatre this is amazing. Honestly, when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was from Broadway!
I agree with the comments: The singer has a very good voice, but this song doesn't need the belting... it's supposed to be more intimate- still, I think she did a great job! And the dance was supercute, I love Belle put's Beasts arms around her exactly like she does in the movie :)
Everybody cracks from time to time; professionals, ametuers, magical time traveling elves... not a damn thing you can do about it. I think her voice is absolutely goergeous and she did a great job. I felt like the tempo was a bit fast but other than that, awesome job.
Why didn't someone tell Pottsy that she's playing an older sweet lady, not a young belty heroine? Her accent was all over the place too. The dance was great - impossible almost to waltz to a 4/4 song.
Why did Belle hire Woody Pride the Sheriff Cowboy Doll (Tom Hanks/Thomas Jeffrey Hanks) to protect her and her too sick father and her Prince Charming husband from Gaston?
i get that this is a production version but the origonal ms.potts on broadway still had both the strentgh and the gentlness of the ms.potts in the movie so there really is no excuse for this
I thought Mrs. potts was fantastic!!! usually its a little high school girl who starts to rift and break character. Mrs. Potts voice keeps and charecter and sounds beaustiful
My guess is she is getting paid to sing. Why would you hire someone whose voice cracks? It sets a major distraction to the audience and puts ratings down on the show. This isn't a high school play! It is professionals and they should be able to sing in a musical. If I was the one who put on the play and one of the people I hired had a untrained voice...I would be so embarrassed!
