One thing I would like to see in future videos like this is the price to purchase one with real money and in game UEC. You could even maybe list the locations where the ship is purchasable currently in game but I am sure that is going to change a lot. Good video nonetheless
Yeah I hate to perpetrate the common idea that ships are only available to buy with real money
For a Connie, the Taurus is a much better solo daily driver. It was my upgrade from the Cutty Black & served me very well & continues to. It has the same shields and 4-size 4 gimballed guns, still has 24 size 2 missiles but it has a whopping 174scu of cargo & a bay which can hold an Ursa and a ROC at the same time. It even has a non-scannable cargo hold in case you want to carry something less than legal onboard & not worry about the space meter maids. I adore my Connie Taurus as the great multi-role ship it is.
Same! Got the Taurus because I love the look of the Connies and I was on a budget! Not disappointed! It's very cheap to run too, doesn't drink much! I hope the crew section will get upgraded with new game features and commodities. The only thing I don't like is the roll rate...other than that it's a joy to use for just about anything...
I like that the others have a snubfighter with them. But all in all i dont think any of the Connie will ever be a wrong choice.
The Taurus is a better daily driver if you're looking to haul cargo. The extra 28 missiles and turret make the Andromeda better for solo hunting and if you wanted to pick up 2 buddies to add to the damage.
I hate the fact that the Connie is solo friendly for the size of ship it is.
How would you compare the 600i to the Connie Taurus if you exclude the cost factor?
I love the Redeemer as a daily driver! But no Defender? That ship cuts through atmospheres like a hot knife in butter! Those two are absolute beasts for different purposes, and I couldn’t recommend them enough!
Also, I love your video, and can’t believe you’re a newer SC content creator. Keep up the great work!
Agreed
I love flying the defender. I did package deliveries in it for a while with a friend. it has plenty of floor space for boxes and easy to land really close to where we needed to go. plus the bed was great for bed logging and of course was a decent fighter.
I've actually never flown a Defender! I'll have to take one out for a spin! Cheers man, I've watched many of your "5 Best Uses" videos! Always great!
@@DedLeader It’s such a fantastic ship, both as a dogfighter and one with internal space! Plus, it’s the most agile atmospheric flyer in the game. And thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoy my content! I’m looking forward to more of yours as well 😁👍
@@ViciDeum hey Vici just got the defender last night. Any tips on how to fly her, for a noob both to the game & combat in general? Bedankt maatje!
The redeemer is such a sleeper pick for a daily. I pledged for the concept way back in the day and swear by it. Cant even count the number of times those 2x S3 shields have saved my ass. Ship comes at a premium price but its so worth it IMO, even 1 crewmember on a turret turns it into a monster only stoppable by the most skilled pilors
I take my Redeemer unless there is a good reason to take something else which usually means either I need the cargo space or extra speed. Barring either of those 2 needs it is the Redeemer.
@@JadedMantis13 Same, except I take my Retailiator when something big is involved (like running ERTs).
@@Right1994 I bet those torpedoes eat up ERTs 😂. Always wanted a retaliator bomber, only thing that stops me from buying one is not having any semblance of a gunner crew. Like u said tho, it looks like a PVE monster
@@ftfrashid7681 I prefer the Eclipse, having had both in game. The retaliator is a big, unagile beast, the AI see you coming, and they chase you too. Without at least one gunner, you have no real way of fighting back. The long and short of it is that it tends to take some big knocks when flying solo - though it has the hull to weather them too.
The Eclipse however just blasts in, kills the target and waves goodbye. Absolutely rips through ERTs.
Up against an Idris though, you want the Retaliator, as it can take it out with two passes (firing 4, then two torpedos) By far the best way to do the stolen Idris mission.
I got rid of my redeemer for a corsair. I only play solo and gave up waiting for AI / Blades. Corsair destroys everything in PVE a lot quicker then i could with the Redeemer.
I just found your channel, I just started playing star citizen like 2 weeks ago. Your content is amazing, I really like the relaxed, in depth vibe to it. Please keep uploading new content!!
Thanks! I'm a newish player and just started making content so I appreciate your comment!
There's a lot of doom and gloom content creators out there lol
I'm really looking forward to the Crusader Spirit. Definitely going to be my daily driver.
Those Crusared Industries ships have such nice lines hey?
My favorite (over all) ship is definitely the Redeemer. Thanks to those shields & armor, smashing into an asteroid (or planet) because you stepped away for a smoke break & forgot to disengage cruise control is far more survivable! Great video! :]
Note: You said that the Corsair has four size three and two size two guns for the pilot. It actually has four size *five* and two size *four* guns, so that’s four size *fours* and two size *threes* gimballed.
Also, if you have access to Redeemers or 890s, you can actually rip off the missile racks and place them on the Corsair for 32 size 2 missiles.
Also, a lot of the Connie HP isn’t actually in the main body-it’s in the engine nacelles, which used to snap off really easily and leave the Connie without a big engine and down a gun. So if you’re taking hits to the main body, the difference isn’t as large.
16xSize 2, 32xSize 1.
@@jimrussell4062 That’s normally. If you have access to the Redeemer missile racks, or 890 missile racks, you can actually rip those off and put them on the Corsair, and you get 32 size 2s. I know because I’ve done it.
@@jonathanrich9281 but redeemer racks are locked, huh?
There's indication throughout the entire video showing that he puts every ship with gimballs so the Corsair in this example has 4x S4 and 2x S3 guns.
This is the loadout Avenger One uses as well, the big guns work well on NPCs but will be next-to-impossible to use against a skilled dogfighting player
@@theknifesong but he say 2 s2 not 2s3
The harbingers turret gets overlooked, it has 2xS3 guns compared to the other vanguards.
Trust me he need it, and he have The rocketpots for that Tower.
You're right, I didn't know the Harb gets different turrets
400i wasn't supposed to be my daily, but it has everything I want from the MSR without 150 doors between entry and the pilot seat, so it just ended up being the one I picked most often.
The Warden wins out over the harb for me though because it comes with a crossfield qt drive stock that I can throw into another ship until I have the credits to outfit all my ships with fast drives.
I struggle to justify having a Corsair as a player who generally doesn't run combat flights. It's got a lot of potential but I'm withholding my final opinion until CIG gives it the usual "rebalancing"
The 400i was my Daily Driver for aaaages, until I got into more of the pew pew gameplay and the Bike Bay door not skinning drove me mad, if they fix that I may have to pick it up again!
The Warden's my daily for sure. Better top speed than most, if not all, of the other Vanguards.
I am running the Warden with 2x ESVD and a Deadbolt. Let me tell you… that combo is absolutely devastating…
@@DedLeader If you equip your paint, then claim the 400i the bike hangar should be skinned properly
One thing of note about the cutty black, if you remove the pilot gimbals, you can outfit it with 4 size 3 weapons.
Yea im running 2x Ballistic Cannon S3 and 2x Distortion Cannons S3
Same thing he said about the 400i.. 2 size 3?? No. 2 size 4! Outfit them with Ad4b Gattling and you have a beast
it's not all that agile though... personally, I opt for keeping the gimbals and landing more shots.
Going from watching this video trying to decide a month ago, to owning every one of these ships today, I'd call it a good list.
literally me
the 400i has crew storage spaces, including lockers. it also has general access to the onboard cargo for crew if you arent doing a full cargo run.
I started the game with the cutlass as it allowed me to try most of the gameplay mechanics right away but after using it for a month i realised that i enjoyed cargo hauling the most i decided to upgrade my cutlass to the star runner and im very happy with that decition
Finally I see the Harbinger getting the love it deserves! All videos touching on the Vanguard series talk about the Sentinel only. I was surprised to see you didn't like the 600i, I think it's an amazing ship, especially the explorer version. GEEZ! You know I over invested in this game when the only ship in this list that I don't own is the Freelancer, and that's only because I have it as a loner. Sub instantly earned! Keep on the great work sir!
I would say if you're adding the Redeemer to the list, I would also suggest including the Hercules series (C2, M2, A2). Same shield pool, it flies pretty well (especially for the size), and has solid guns for both the pilot and turret gunner(s).
I have a connie andro - I was very much considering swapping it to a Corsair during the event but decided not too. I just hope that the connie can get a gold pass soon, it really needs an update.
It needs that table working MOST of all.
Honestly, having taken the Corsair through its paces in all walks of combat I'd stick with your Andromeda. I spent a week flying the Corsair every day as a Daily and as a Combat ship and I melted it to go back to my Andromeda.
It just had a update in 3.13. as in a design overhaul somewhat. With better lighting and such. Iirc. Tho the table is reason I sold it.
The corsair and andromida are fairly equal in power, the andromida fully crewed is better. THe massive hull HP and better turret placement matters
Constellation vs Corsair the Connie wins every time with equally skilled pilots.
Thanks for this video! Some of the newer ships have their kitchens prestocked with edible and drinkable foods. It's only a few ships thus far, but it can be very useful, something to keep in mind.
The MSR actually does have a gun rack, it’s located in the cockpit on the starboard side.
Great video! Been flying the Corsair loads lately! But you got it's weapon loadout wrong sadly. It has 4 Size 5 and 2 Size 4 weapons hard points, so that's 4 Size 4 and 2 Size 3 gimballed guns for a total gimballed dps of 2024(You included the co-pilot only remote turret in the dps total as well)
What? No. It has gimbaled 4xS4, 2xS3. For me the weapons, must be gimbaled on the Corsair. The ship moves to slow for ungimbaled weapons.
hello, nice one! just a note, the constellation series all have mess hall and kitchen, where you use personal elevator. table should lift up from ground, and utilities are in wall.
If i remember correctly, the 400i does have 3 suit lockers next to the staircase as it comes up. Was one of the selling points for 'being prepared'
Man the doors having the button to open them glitched inside is annoying hahah
yeah 3 suit lockers and a large weapon locker. they opened when it was released, but they dont anymore.
An additional point on the suit lockers is (when they are working) you can literally trap people inside them if you can get them to step into the locker.
Use this information as you will...
Dude, i love your editing, your voice, overall vibe. Keep it up. I subscribed
Corsair with a med bed module (med Pisces shoved in its back) is my new favorite daily driver
Also Corsair is 4 size 5 guns and 2 s 4 guns if fixed
How do you get a bed module in the corsair?
@@shawncook5083 read the message in parentheses ^ :)
Had a redeemer on the free fly thing, I was doing an spk run for a mild cs4 stat so I parked it at the far end of the station and EVAed over to the post. Listened to a gladius blast away at it while waiting for said stat to clear, went back to find it barely damaged...and thats before I bought one and tanked it out
my daily has always been the kore since 2.6 ... cargo bay with drop door and the seats are 3 ft away for quicker take off. Great for just deliveries. Also when in flight with copilot or others, no one can shoot you in the back xD my second goto is my phoenix... :)
Great video. Just a suggestion for future videos, you should refer to the hardpoint sizes of the ships, as well as the weapons that come with them stock. Fairly important to know what it’s capable of.
I bounce between a Banu Defender and 400i as my daily but I’m thinking I’m gonna switch up once the crusader spirit series drop! In love with those ships
I always end up using the redeemer running solo just stuff a box in the tiny cargo area and be prepared to hoof it. If more of the crew show up I run it along side as a preventive measure more than anything as a redeemer plus anything can be more than enough of a fight so most will just steer clear.
18:20 he said... "You can literally ghost ride this whip" 😂☠ As someone who lives in the Bay Area, you have earned a new subscriber my friend .👍
You know what? You're right! I didn't expect it, but of all my ships the Redeemer is my favorite as a daily driver. You can even put two loot boxes (that you get from blowing up a ship with stuff in it) in the 2 SCU storage area and tractor them around on bunker missions. They really thought of everything with that ship.
...and it handles an ERT with one turret gunner much more efficiently than the Corsair.
I'd also like to add C8R pisces to the list as a well-rounded daily driver. For its size, it brings MASSIVE benefits like medpens, food water and a medbed, all in that small of a package. On top of that you can spawn it in outposts too which is a small benefit. Another benefit is the easy ingress and egress if you like to run bunkers. Overall it is an amazing daily driver and I find myself using it way more than my MSR.
Daily drivers are more wellrounded ships not focused on one type of thing
yeah but if you get in a fight in it with a more capable ship like the arrow or something else you’re done
Another great informative video.
I had the redeemer for a while but could never truly use it to its true potential as only run with a 2 man crew.
I’ve joined a community now so maybe I’ll go back to it in the future.
I don't know what a daily driver is (me = newb), but for someone who is still overwhelmed by all the components and ships, this was super useful. Thx! I hope to be an explorer someday ; )
My old daily driver was the Freelancer DUR. You lose cargo space but it's a space Prius, with the same guns and shield options. My new daily driver is the Connie Phoenix. It's a Connie, that sacrifices a little functionality for the best style in the game. I recently cleared AC10 with it.
Maybe I don't really care about a large amount of cargo space in my daily driver because if I want to haul big, I do have my Herc, or as I like to call it, the honey badger. It is a daily driver candidate for sure.
The Phoenix is awesome. It doesn't even really sacrifice anything for its luxury. It has the same SCU, same guns, same turrets, same missile armament (only the Andromeda gets extra S1 missiles), same shields, etc. as the other Connies, but with a sick ass bar and (imo) a nicer exterior.
I mostly use the C2 for daily driving but recently been using the Cutter for bunkers and so far I like it's speed and how compact it is, I still have to try using the C8R for daily bunkering and would love a generalist alien ship in the size of the Cutlass/400i/Freelancer kinda, great vid, excellent reccomendations!! :D
Why do bunkers if you don't need the money?
@@thirdworldrider6991 For fun duh
Really appreciated this video. Gave me some goals to think about, long term as it will take a while to get the aUEC together 😅 but got some good picks for the future 🔥
Nice vids. Keep them coming.
Great vid. You covered all the best ones.
its crazy coming back to videos like this now that we're into the 3.20's
12:34 Good overview of the ships. I hate to be 'well actually' guy, but the Corsair has 4 Size 5 mounts gimbled to size 4, and 2 size 4, gimbled down to size 3 guns.
My daily driver is the all mighty Sentinel! I love that ship. I named her Vera and it's the 1 ship I could never remove from my fleet after all these years.
The ship I'm in the most by far is the Banu Defender. Fast, nimble, and deadly. I can handle pretty much everything but cargo hauling at the moment. The ship I used to have as a loner that I don't anymore and miss dearly is the Mercury. That thing's the size of a cargo plane but handles like a GTI. I hope to pick it up in game sometime soon.
Same here. It's easy to get in and out of and is the perfect size.
Wanna add that though it may not look all that great on paper the cutlass red makes for a very handy daily driver, yes it doesnt have the same vehicle bay capacity as the black, and yes it doesnt have the extra turret or missiles, but what it does still have is a not useless amount of cargo capacity, a fair sized quantum fuel tank, and most importantly, it has the 2 med beds which are exelent for when you are running low on food and drink or just find yourself unable to consume them, as well as being very convenient for running fps missions
There is some semblance of a "mess hall" (on the connie) next to where the beds are. The table used to come out of the ground, but hasn't been available for years.
Oh dang you right
Good list... I would put the Redeemer on top for solo players because of its defensive capabilities...followed by the 600i AFTER the upgrades of a med bay and being able to carry a nova tank... 💥
I find the Sentinel's EMP more useful than the S5 torps - you can simply turn off someone's shields or their entire ship, and then blast them with the S5 gun for a very short time-to-kill.
Forget torps and EMP, the Sentinel is the lightest and most agile of the Vanguards, which makes it the best. Plus in the future, it'll get an AR cockpit.
The S5 gun + 4 bespoke guns is more than enough damage for any PvE mission anyways. No gimmicks required.
Problem is emp fighting isn't fun
@@WhyGodby To each of their own, I laugh like a maniac every time I manage to turn off an opponent's ship with an EMP, and then keep it disabled with a distortion cannon.
I love soloing my 400i. Sure, it lacks firepower and cargo space, but it's a straight line rocket and is surprisingly durable and tough. The interior is a great place to be, the exterior gives great 'screenshots' and the main entry point allows you to enter any situation with dramatic grace, coming down the stairs like Count Dooku's Solar Sailer!
Considering it's size, it has a compact footprint to land easily on most terrains and ultimately, it's a very realistic ship to solo. I'm not traditionally an Origin fanboy, but the 400i just ticks all the boxes for me as a random daily run about.
Agreed, it was my daily driver for many months until the bike bay door not being able to be skined drove me too mad!
@@DedLeader Fixed now in 3.18 :)
@@delc82 NO BUT NOW THE DOORS ARE INVISIBLE PORTALS TO NOWHERE AND A BUTTON IS FLOATING OFF THE PANEL AND THE LADDER KILLS YOU *cries*
little thing about the corsair , in your video you say that it has 4 size 3 and 2 size 2 weapons for pilote. Thats 4 size 4 in gimball , so size 5 in fix, and 2 size 3 in gimball , so size 4 in fix. Thats georgous in term of dps for solo play and PvE.
Nice video and layout.... corsair has 4xS4 nose guns + 2×S3 wing mounts as stock* as gimbal... fixed... nose upgrades to size 5s and wings upgrade to S4s
Awesome video! I know Im late but in the future it would be great to add an auec price tag to the specs
I thought I was the only one that prefers to daily the Redeemer.
It does sort of feel like overkill, like going through the drive thru in a tank
Well, at least you don't have to worry about an Arrow or Gladius attacking you lol.
I really like the redeemer too but I find that it’s difficult to maneuver.
Nope, I love it to. And it look's like it could staiten your curl's to.
I'm really conflicted about keeping my harbringer or upgrading it to a redeemer.
Admitedly, I'm not the best dogfigher in the verse so I don't mind if my daily driver handles a bit like a brick if it allows me to play the "armed-and-armored-to-the-teeth-sitting" duck" with most random attackers.
That said, I feel the redeemer would be a bit too sluggish even for me.
On the other hand, on top all that shields, having even just 2 SCUs of cargo grid to store some random stuff that I may find while aimlessly wandering about in my personal bunker would be nice.
Nice points, Subed.
Maybe weird but i used an M2 as my daily. Big fuel tank, good defense, good firepower and good handling so it’s really nice to take out and fly around for a long time. If i need some money ill just go to a nearest outpost and do some cargo run with it.
Its big but flys better than the Corsair and you have all you want: Cargo, Vehicles, Weapons, Multicrew, ok Access to the Bridge. Not really for ERT but everything else is more than OK. You can even Store a Pisces as Snub.
The Hercules series are definitely slept on by most, I use an A2 as my daily driver until the C1 enters the stage
@@TangoDelta42 you can literally fit a hull a with landing gear down in a c2 I saw a clip
Great video. Very accurate perspective as well
Thanks!
bro! AMAZING video, just wish u had put a price tag on the ships
About the 400i: the vehicle bay only fits turretless Cyclones, not an URSA or ROC.
But it does have storage lockers under each bed.
I really enjoy your videos keep it coming
I must admit my daily driver is generally the Cutty Black or Vanguard Warden. Great list.
Yep. I am usually looking for an excuse to take my Redeemer when I play. The MSR when I need cargo. 315p if I just need to get somewhere quickly with a bit of cargo space with minimal fuss. Waiting for the 600i rework as I actually like it as my biggest all-round ship but currently no reason to take over the other ships until it gets the medical bed. I do like the Taurus for cargo sometimes as well but for now my Taurus was upgraded to MSR on the way to the 600i so will see how that plays out. Still the Taurus was not a bad daily driver except for the fact that it took a bit longer to get places than the MSR.
Weapon placement is important. When they are all center like on the Vanguard you dont need gimmbals meaning you can use the full size for weapons. Some ships have their guns so far to the sides you aint hittin
Thanks for the thoughtful review!
One question: have you ever linked the smaller gimballed guns to the pilot guns on the Redeemer?
I had a redeemer twice, but each time, the exterior design just bugged me too much,
The 600i, on the other hand is my permanent daily driver. They'd really have to mess up that rework, for me to quit.
With med bed and improved vehicle bay, I don't know what else in this size has the features?
If anything, I'll add a vanguard warden to the 600i for brawling... Polaris is probably too expensive to run as a daily driver.
600i can be a fantastic daily if a bit big.
I currently have the Corsaid because i love it's asymetric design and vehicle ramp but the other than slightly higher dps the andromeda is better than the Corsair.
All the need to make the Corsair competitive is to improve handling just a bit, specially in atmo.
I just acquired the 600i with CCUs during IAE! It's the biggest ship I plan to ever own lol. I alternate between it, my Banu Defender and 100i as daily driver 💯
@@PantherKen great choice of ships.,
I have a 600i ,a galaxy and a corsair.
I used to have a bigger fleet but this is really all i need. the 600i is fantastic i cant wait for it's rework
Connie kitchen is the bench by forward lift. The table is recessed into the floor, but doesnt work yet. EDIT ohn also it has 4x s5 weapons, but the bottom ones are capped to gimballed s4 for now due to size and placement issues. You can run 2x s5 and 2x s4 gimballed right now. Lots of punch, but terrible turn rate. I love the connie.
Connies is great, I should fly it more IMO. Every gun I included as the Gimbled size as so try and keep my DPS numbers consistant for newbies :P
Nice video! Corsair has 4 size 5s and 2 size 4s, but comes stock with gimbaled size 4s and size 3s. Thanks!
For this video I only mention what size gimbled just to keep it simple for newbies! When I first started hearing all the numbers always overwhelmed me so I tried to be selective with what data I shared.
I'm glad you liked it! It's my first attempt at making a video like this!
@@DedLeader you sized down an extra size. Saying 4 size 3s 2 size 2s which is one size too small. But good vid
Nice video and thoughts about the ships and how to use them, thanks for the info. new Sub
I once was running around in my MSR and got a transport beacon from a guy that was doing a bunker mission, and someone spawned a bounty over his bunker which killed his ship. The bounties where still in the area as I flew in under fire, I dropped my ramp as a was landing close to him. He ran in and I launched with shot flying all around. Only the small fighter could keep up with me as I pitched up and out of atmosphere and went to QT. The guy I picked up was laughing. He said he felt like he was in an action movie. The ship held up rather well with only a little skin damage.
My other daily drivers are a 600i, a Pisces c8x and a Cutty Red
Excellent video. But I would say my favorite for all ships thus far is the Aurora. However that Redeemer.! Yes please.!
I think there's finally a ship that can give the Aurora a run for its money. We'll see. I haven't been on it yet.
if you love the Aurora you may try a cutter or an avenger Titan which are straight upgrades from an Aurora, without any downside i can think of.
If you remove the gimbal you can put size 3 guns on the cutty black upping dps to like 8-900
The 600i, the biggest soloable ship, is missing in this list! It’s really nice to fly, good weapons, cargo, room for a vehicle etc etc…😝
he did give it a honourable mention at the end
That's what I was thinking too! He did shout out to it at the end, but said it doesn't handle well. 600i rework can't come soon enough now that the Corsair is out.
You said the 400i doesn't have any crew storage lockers but it does! In the captain and crew quarters. Under bed storage as well as a stand up locker I believe.
I have started to daily my corsair mainly because with the fastest available QT drive I can travel between the 4 planets without refueling, and with a more efficient drive i can lap the system a 3-4 times.
The 400i and Redeemer are both great ‘daily drivers’. So is the Banu Defender. However my new secret love is the Gladius, because it’s gold standard and has double weapon rack plus internal storage access for looting. It’s become an incredibly quick, versatile daily driver for me in the last few weeks, and gets you around the verse so much faster than most others with the exception of the Defender. Redeemer is the obvious choice if you value security due to those 2x S3 shields.
The amazing thing about the Redeemer is that even an accidental bunker crime stat that sets off the turrets (shouldn’t even happen), you can quite easily get back up, into your ship and take off with all five opening up on the ship, without the shields going down - it’s that powerful.
Agreed, if I get frustrated dying somewhere often I'll just hop in my Gladius so I can get back there as fast as humanly possible, otherwise i'd just quit becasue it wasn't worth my time lol
I used to have the Corsair as my daily driver, but it was way too big. Took long to get in / out, flies like a brick, didn’t feel right,… Had it refunded and got myself a Cutlass Black. Perfect size for me, I hope they update the interior though
The Warden is my daily, but I also have a Cutty Black, Corsair, and 'Deemer. All are great for soloing/travelling/bunkers, except you may want another crew member in the Redeemer.
I just couldn't get into the Warden. The lack of shields really bugged me considering it's a heavy fighter. I felt like my wings were getting blown off very frequently. (I also might just suck lol) just upgraded to the Aquila
@@meshuggahdeciple327 All Vanguards have only front and back shields. The devs made them very durable, with being able to lose like 30% of the ship and still survive.
They were meant to be a heavy fighter, and that's not everyone's cup of tea.
Yeah, I loved the warden before lost it in the last wipe. It was amazing at everything wanted to do, and I sometimes play with a friend, and the top turret is really handy
Wow, all of these years of playing and owing a Harbinger and I never knew I could move my stairs to place a box lol
Great thanks, have most of them.
Nice rundown - I mostly fly the 600i but when I know I’m going somewhere tight in atmo, swap to something like the reliant or c8r. I want to love the redeemer, I just HATE flying it
And the Redeemer is so ugly!
Redeemer is my daily, the most menacing ship in its size class. Handles like a turd and any light fighter can keep you on your toes if you are solo, but not like it matters, I have not yet seen anything other than a size 9 torp go through those shields. The upcoming ballistic change in 3.18 might spice things up a bit, but considering the redeemer comes with 4 s5 ballistics too, I say it won’t be half bad.
My 2 pals and I have been taking the Deemer out every day now, Ain't shit we can't blow up in 5 seconds. Love that ship!
Finally someone who doesn’t say you can’t solo in the Deemer. I love my Deemer and it’s my go-to solo ship. Yes, it’s way more powerful with a crew but it’s plenty powerful enough to solo bounties. Especially if you go full gimbaled to make up for the lack of maneuverability. Plus other players don’t know if you’re crewed or not so they tend to not eff with you in a Deemer as much. The drawback is it isn’t the cheapest ship to operate. Repairs, restocking, and refueling this beauty takes a good chunk out of your BH profit margin.
This guy gets it. Please stick around.
I actually got 4 cyclones to fit in the corsair, of course you need someone else to spawn two of them because of the 3 vehicle spawn cap, but it was great
Edit - what I like about the corsair is I can use it as a solo daily for an okay number of missions, and I can keep a vehicle in the bay. I can keep everything I want on the ship and then if any friends come on and want to play together they can just hop right in and we're on our way. I used to daily the redeemer but I hated having to swap out all the time when we wanted to do something other than combat
The Corsair is a great ship but I can’t get over the fact it handles like a brick and it’s so slow!
the 400i has this civilian RV feeling that i love. feels like a home. i just wish they change the master bedroom for a more familly version. It's a big room used for a desk and a small bed. i would prefer a big bed for two and a small desk...
but in most sessions i usually fly a pisces or my mustang beta as shuttles. only 40s to get them back when they go boom. and the beta has a bed
i fly also my freelancer MIS a lot. it's like a regular freelancer but with lots of missiles. the cargo is still big enough for most uses, and i can defend myself very well with lots of ordnance.
Good picks. I agree the 400i fits a lot in for its size but there's a lot of space in the back upper floor I never use, the globe and kitchen area I have no reason to ever go in. Give us a functional fridge!
@@DedLeader the globe is supposed to play a role for the exploration. some other vessels have one, like the Carrack. We have to wait and see i guess. Totally agree for the kitchen though ! we got a gold veined marble kitchen worktop but no water lol.
I play with my wife so from time to time after a session we take a lunch at the table and go to bed. no other game has this adventure vibe !
If they lift the 400i just a touch so a ROC fits that will likely sum it up for me. I have a weird love for the Valkyrie as well. If they made a non-dropship variant that would about do it as well. I just love the Anvil design and feel for some reason. Great video, keep it up.
Yeah, the Valkyrie with the capabilities of a Redeemer would be nice
I am running a Corsair and I like it, the design of the cargo ramp lets me fill it with 72scu + a cyclone or Roc or both
Fwd wheels on the ramp and nothing move around
I actually just melted my Corsair and I feel kinda guilty about it since I do love the design, cargo space, guns etc
But the handling and paper thin HP of it meant that if I didn't kill anything first flyby i'd be toast as i'm not the best pilot hahaha so I upgraded to the C2 since it has so much more space and I'd finally be able to carry Tanks and larger ground vehicles.
The Black has 4 S3 weapon mounts. What do you mean by low damage?
600i is also a decent soloable daily driver. Not as versatile as Connie or Corsair, but it gets the job done. And imo handles slightly better than those two.
I use it too as a daily and I love it, a little on the slower side tho
I can 100% vouche for the redeemer as a solo ship. May not hit as hard as some of the others, but the tankyness alone when your shields recharge faster than they go down is an extremely safe feeling lol. The day they also put in hired AI npcs to go into the gunner positions is when the redeemer will likely be the king of bounty hunting missions, packing those with size 5 repeaters with some friends and just demolishing the huge targets all day lol
Awesome video bro, quick question, how did you drink the whole bottle of water? When i click drink it only drinks 1/5 of the bottle so i have to do it 5 times
Hold the button
Just did some testing at the last IAE. The 400i can't fit the Ursa Rover, but it can fit the Tumbril Cyclone line up to the TR. Sadly the added missile boxes on the MT are just a little too high for it to fit between the ship's belly and the lift. It used to be able to fit both of them, but some rework of the landing gear now prevents it.
i had my doubts bout the Ursa Lol. that bay didnt look wide as a connie's. which barely fits a ursa
The best ground vehicles for the 400i, aesthetically, are the Cyclone RN or RC, and the Greycat STV. I prefer the STV, as it is smaller, and easier to get in and out. The Mule also fits, but really, who wants to mix Origin and Drake...
My two main problems with the Redeemer are its price (both pledge and UEC) and the fact that it has no homey part, all the internal spaces are military in nature and don't feel like a place to kick back with the crew
Kinda weird but i was loving flying around an A2 Hercules because it kinda did everything well considering how well it flys. Its only real down side is that its annoying to park in hangars and claiming takes a while.
I always bump a wing, but pulling up on a mining station I can always full Tokyo drift that thing into position so easily, always feels good to handle!
I got the cutty for now just excited for the c1 to come out!
I recently discovered that the anvil valkyrie is quite the daily driver. A bit boaty but it was an instant favorite
Great video. However with the "cargo refactor" of 3.18 on the horizon it'll need some correcting. Ships like the Redeemer with it's dedicated 2 SCU of cargo space could in a pinch hold 6-8 SCU running along the middle of the rec area.
I've used them all over the years but somehow I always felt "something" was missing to call one of them my definite daily driver, which for me should a be a ship comfortable to fly solo while being able to accommodate new crew members when needed, and flexible enough to adapt to most situations.
I mostly ignored the Corsair while in concept, but after flying it I feels like this is the one. The forward-facing firepower and single centered pilot chair seems like it's made for a solo pilot and doesn't feel lonely unlike other ships with a bunch of empty seats next to you. You can add up to 3 more crew members and everyone has their own personnal quarters abord and their own turret to man. There's a lot of storage and internal space to place various objects. The airlock and roof elevator are amazing. The cargo bay is capable of housing most ground vehicules and even some small ships (while not being limited to the P-52 like the Constellation).
It is definitly not the fastest though, but at the same time it forces you to make decisions as diving head-first into a potentially dangerous area without proper planning could mean losing your ship since you can't count on speed alone to make it out alive.
Yea, I was gonna say the corsair or crusaders new spirit line, specifically the c-1.
People are starting to figure out the Corsairs weakness i'm finding small fighters hiding under my butt in my blind spot all the time wittling my shields down!
@@green7449 I feel the A1/C1 are exactly the ships I'm waiting for. I'd love a Xi'an Cutlass/Freelancer sized competitor that wasn't just a fighter but for now the Spirit will have to fill the need of what I want a ship to be.
@@ZoneWarden I want to see an alien multi so fkn bad.
@@DedLeader with a crew, you can put a Razor in the bay to annoy fighters or keep shields down on a larger target
I daily the 600i, it does pretty well and I like the elevator location
Yeah 3 size 5 fixed is awesome with a great compliment of missiles
I'd say the Nomad shoulda made this list.
Agreed. Very versatile little ship. And I love how you can have the cargo bay open and people still can't get into the ship.
100% agreed @dedleader with regard to the Corsair rear door sound!!!
What an underrated channel, damn
Thankyou kindly!
I really love the Redeemer but really wished that CIG wouldn't have changed the interior layout. In my opinion they really should have kept the beds on the upper floor while the lower (modular) area should have kept those dropseats. Then CIG could have simply used that as a default "Dropseat Module" as now the ability to have usable modules. For example I can't see any way for an Exploration Module with deployable vehicle to become reality anymore as you'd need beds for the crew which are now part of the module.
I also really hope that CIG will add 3 escape pods in the Mercury. Every other multicrew ship (except Drake and dropships) have escape pods as standard safety equipment. They can easily add escape pods in that long empty tunnel behind the cockpit. The Hercules (also from Crusader) also has escape pods behind its bridge in an identical tunnel.
As for smaller ships I currently really like my 125a. I still think it was way overpriced but at least you won't run out of Hydrogen fuel due to that AIR-refinery and it's also very easy to get in and out due to the convenient steps.
