Love! Love! Love! He had sooo much charisma, connected with audiences and could really act as well as skate. Not THIS is an entertaining performer with class that we still love and remember well in Canada. We love you Kurt!
THAT IS ONE REMARKABLE FABULOUS VIDEO SUCH MAGIC ARTISTRY ENERGY AND ELECTRICITY BY WATCHING THIS IT MAKES YOU SO HAPPY AND EXCITED IT MAKES YOU WANNA DANCE ON THE CEILING.
Absolutely love this performance! I remember my mom and I watching it on TV. She was a huge fan of Gene Kelly and had nothing but praise for Kurt's performance.
I live in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and Gene Kelly's father was born in Peterborough. He later moved to the U.S. and Gene was born in Pittsburgh in 1911. Every winter Gene's dad would flood the back yard so Gene could skate on it. It was from his skating that he developed his dancing skills. So who knows, Gene could have been a profession skater if he hadn't pursued a career in dancing.
Fantastic! Who ever said he is not Gene Kelly...well Gene Kelly is not Kurt Browning either ...but I doubt he would been even close to trying to mimic Kurt...what he is doing skating here is just brilliant.
Choreography that is made genius by the performer. The backstory to this is really interesting if you can still find it. Maybe in the June 2020 conversation between Kurt and Sandra Bernice? Can't remember for sure. I have watched every performance available on CZcams for the past year. Reminds me of when skating was really great....especially when competitive skaters turned pro...and it wasn't just about jumps. I mean, after a triple, I can't really see 4 turns anyway. I watched the Olympics this year and Jason Brown's performance was the most enjoyable. But, it's all about points for every move. I wish judges didn't know ahead of time the order and elements of each program. However, it does allow skaters to fall or miss elements and still medal or win gold. Back in the day, if you popped a triple or fell, that was it. I miss good ole pro competitions...those were fun until allowing amateurs to compete. Oh well, I'll just keep watching old videos. Kurt is my favorite of all time...the whole package....GOAT.
I taped this special, I live near Seattle and we have 3 or 4 PBS Stations two are Canadian I believe. Kurt became my favorite skater when he made his awesome comeback. ..did Kurt ever come back!
Gracias daniel por recomendarme esre video, es precioso, que belleza, vaya pedazo de patinador y el escenario con pista de hielo y lloviendo es la leche.
