Of all the ranks, GC is the one rank where it is perfectly acceptable to sit at that rank. SSL is a super rare rank in very limited quantities. And GC is the highest rank below the elusive SSL.
It’d be embarrassing to be hardstuck gold or platinum for years because it only takea a few hundred hours played to get to diamond usually. But getting GC means you are in the top 1%, and bridging the gap to SSL would take thousands of additional hours played.

Musty double is way easier than a double flip reset but it was close he might of called the musty double a 6 because of context

This doesn’t surprise me at all.. just being able to stay in GC for the past 8 season, it’s taken a large amount of constant improvement for me, and a commitment to practice more than I ever have. I’ve improved slightly to GC2, but not by much. Newer GCs still have a lot to work on, and the skill gap to get out GC is pretty large
This for me, I 'quit' RL on new season 3 and peaked at 1660 mmr, it's been a struggle winning games in like 1550 mmr now people have gotten so much better

2 months in GC is extremely short. Most people take like 500 hours to rank from gc1 to gc2. I've been gc1 since 800 hours I'm at 1600 now lol

@@TrixonGames 500 hours to get from gc1 to gc2 is not that much. When grinding I put in 40-50 hours a week. But I'm still only at 1300 hours and C3.
It's kinda bad that I can never get to SSL because it takes atleast 5000+ hours if you are quick about it. To get that amount of playtime means putting in 24 hours for 200 days straight. 💀 Try doing that while in a relationship and having to work.
I am a Nintendo Switch player... This is so painful... I'm in Gold 3 with a peak of Plat 3 after 1000 hours... I feel like i should quit Nintendo Switch and start playing on PC after hearing this... I wasted so much time...😭
But is a person hardstuck even if the go from GC1 to GC2? I think the difference between GC1 and 3 is massive, so any progress towards that shouldnt be called hardstuck imo (unless you are constantly ranking up and down)

I used to be gold when I started playing on and off. Within the last few months i started playing semi consistently and climbed up to diamond. I expect to wallow here for eternity.

@@jaycraw6500 well, for me at least, I've hardly changed since I had my long stint in high diamond. Still cba to learn aerial mechanics, car control air rolling is very basic, don't play 1's etc. xD I feel like mechanical skill is waayy overrated compared to just a little bit of thought on how not to lose a 50, or checking where a teammate is
edit: definitely different, but not as big of a gap as I think a lot of people make out.

I'm an old GC, first one is og Season 10, which was 2019, meaning I've been hardstuck 4 damn years. I didn't really play ranked much, I stuck mostly to casual and dipped in solo to get my rank in s10, 11, 13, 14, and new season 10 so like I'm well hard stuck. I haven't even bothered to make the push for gc2 or 3 though I think I'd be capable if I just knuckled down and practiced. The only reason a new gc would have an edge is because they're likely a younger player, not as many learned bad habits... Or at least the bad habits that have been learned haven't sunk in for 3200 hours. I'd love to partake in something like this tbh. Edit: Also for stuck GCs, you should use the old GC logo lol, feels more apt

Personally I think even if the old player is better the new gc will have more potential and probably be higher then the hard stuck gc bc he is still improving. Also not hard stuff in bad habits. Most hard stuck gcs just have bad tendencies. Which if they got out of more than likely would start improving

just ask a gc to look at one of your replays, probably a lot of rotation and positioning issues that can be fixed and help you into gc

ever since i reached the diamond ranks, there was only ONE time i reached champ1 div 2 and immediately gone back to diamond in a couple quick losses :D i never like practice the game in freeplay or the training packs, so im not expecting to ever get out of diamond
