Worli Hit And Run Case: Shortly after Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah was granted bail in the Worli hit-and-run case on Monday, Pradeep Nakhwa, husband of the late Kaveri Nakhwa, expressed frustration over the delay in apprehending the main accused, Mihir Shah.
Pradeep Nakhwa called for severe punishment for the driver and lamented that his wife could have been saved if the driver had stopped immediately after the accident.
Nakhwa said, "We were riding at a speed of 30 to 35 kilometers per hour when a speeding car hit us from behind. The impact caused us to land on the bonnet of the car."
He further stated, "We were struck by a speeding car... Both of us were thrown onto the bonnet of the accused's vehicle... The driver did not stop and continued to drag my wife for kilometers".
He recounted the incident to the media, stating that they were returning from Crawford Market on Sunday morning after purchasing fish when their two-wheeler was struck from behind by a speeding car at approximately 5:30 am. Kaveri Nakhwa was riding pillion at the time of the collision.

So it's not them but is us who will be at ultimate fault. If there are protests happening you can literally stream it on CZcams via just a smartphone. Do you really need media? If millions of people are actually interested they will join your stream if they can't make it to the protests. None of that happens and it tells a sad story about the public, they don't really care. My humble request to one and all, please bring a law that 4 wheeler driver license should be issued to people after they qualify at 25 years of age to drive LMV, any vehicle NOT bigger than a large sedan or regular suv or muv AND not weighing more than 1.3 tons. Any vehicle bigger than that or weighing more than 1.3 tons must not be categorised as LMV but must be considered as Medium heavy motor vehicle ( MHMV) and to drive MHMV the driver must have minimum 10 years of experience having driven LMV from 25 to 35 years and after ten years of driving MHMV from 35 to 45 years of age must qualify to drive Heavy motor vehicle ( HMV) not earlier. This should become law. Car should not have horse power more than one hundred this should become law. Engine for a large suv or muv or large sedan should not exceed 1.9 litres at any cost, this should be made into law. If high speed engines with 3000 cc 3500 cc 4000 cc and 5000 cc are made only such accidents will take place.

You know the best solution? Speed breakers. The plastic ones, easy to install, 2-3 consecutively or at suitable intervals? They can probably make even an army tank slow down. No traffic signal or laws can stop an idiot, but speed breakers sure can. The only problem is the speed breakers will also slow down ambulances and firetrucks. I am having this issue in a residential neighborhood where people race their cars and sports bikes as if F1 track. I wish there was a portal where I can lodge a complaint, appeal or request for speedbreakers at least on the road in my neighborhood. Kids play carelessly, cycles and games. Stray animals. People walk their pets. It's just a disaster waiting to happen. Sometimes the solution is obvious but it is difficult to get it implemented because the authorities ask for "why", nothing has ever happened there etc. They only wake up when something big happens and stay awake for a short time afterwards and then back to being reluctant.
