Jude and Mads were easily the highlight of this film.
Totally! Their chemistry is on point! Every scene they had together, you believe they were a couple and that those feeling haven’t left either of them! I liked Deeps acting on Crimes, hated they look they choose for him, but in a way I’m glad we got Mads on Secret, and hopefully on the last two as well, his Gellert is much more believable and next to Jude, is just perfect casting
100%
👍👍
Mads was amazing as Grindelwald which he gives the perfect charisma, cunning, genius, manipulative, power and intimidating aura as powerful dark wizard, He gave the opening restaurant scene with strong sexual tension just with his facial expressions it was crazy, I'm definitely looking forward for the 4th movie someday especially their final duel in 1945
Yeah i really hope they keep Mads 🥰
I loved this movie! Mads' interpretation of Grindelwald was much more nuanced, low-key, and even charmingly menacing than Depp's. "Secrets" had me riveted from the first moment.
Jude Law was definitely the best part of this movie, he's fantastic
you are god damn right!
Im obsessed to Mads. He literally ate gridelwald. Hes so good 😭
No, Dumbledore ate Grindelwald--didn't you read JK's tweets?
@@gaelofariandel6747 😟
I'm very sad for Johnny, but Mads was extraordinary as Grindelwald.
Mads is an amazing actor, no one is going against this fact... He should've been cast from the first movie itself then, it wasn't fair to Johnny Depp
agreed!
Yes
He’s amazing. It doesn’t mean we don’t miss Johnny tho
1000% TRUE, he made the diner scene filled with sexual tension it was crazy and really give Grindelwald more intimidating aura as a dark wizard
@@custodiojamal5150 …. I’m sorry.. WHAT tension?
I love Grindelwald’s complex relationship with Dumbledore 🔥
Jude and Mads did good job in Fantastic Beats 3rd
Behind the scenes is always dope... but this is just a new level of awesomeness!
Not many are mentioning it, but for me the most beautiful part of the movie was Credence and Albus scene, where Albus told him about the „truth“. That got me really emotional
You gotta admit, Mads is a better Grindelwald.
Yeah he really is
Yup really a better grindelwald
Yeah
Yep. Nothing against Johnny but Mads was made for this role
yeah he really is better
Mads Mikkelsen is a far better Grindelwald.
Agree
I bloody agree to this statement
Agree
I agree I think maybe he should have been cast as Grindelwald originally
@@Myrtus123 yes definitely
Always love behind the scenes, so much to learn...
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is a wonderful addition to the Wizarding World franchise and Fantastic Beasts series. Although the Fantastic Beasts films do have issues, none of them is the story, which has been enthralling from the start. The performances are once again top-notch, with Jude Law delivering his second perfect outing as Albus Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen showing what Gellert Grindelwald should be (and I spent three years thinking Johnny Depp was perfect).
Depp was brilliant and what happened to him unjustifiable, but Mikkelsen is perfect as Grindelwald and whom David Yates, the director of every Wizarding World film since Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, originally wanted for Grindelwald. He provides the charm and charisma, and cunning, presence, and malice that encapsulates Grindelwald, without the cartooniness of Depp's look and, sometimes, acting. He's a dialled-down Grindelwald in many respects, but to his benefit not detriment - he's grounded in reality, a trait that the Wizarding World has always strived for and encompassed, which makes him so much more visceral, and real, and makes him feel like a huge threat.
Seven is the most magically powerful number, and David Yates' seventh Wizarding World film lives up to the standards set by its eight Harry Potter and two Fantastic Beasts forebears, delivering a nuanced, intricate, and powerful story that is also alight with spectacle and photo-realistic CGI, including old and new beasts that aren't token inclusions but fundamental to the story and great to learn about, and gorgeous outdoor environments and indoor sets.
Although hardcore fans like myself love the plot and pacing of Secrets of Dumbledore's middlingly received predecessor, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Secrets of Dumbledore shows its creators learnt from their mistakes and listened to the justified criticisms of the previous instalment. Steve Kloves, the screenwriter of every Harry Potter film bar Order of the Phoenix and producer of the Fantastic Beasts films, has aided in writing a wonderful script for Secrets of Dumbledore that is packed with emotion, depth, action, and humour.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has proven itself worthy of the four year wait. It is a brilliant third chapter in the Fantastic Beasts series and sets up its latter half to have a thrilling journey and conclusion.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is absolutely phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. It has a beautiful story (as did Where to Find Them and Crimes of Grindelwald) and was beautifully shot. The beasts looked photo-realistic and were absolutely amazing to see and learn about, and Mads Mikkelsen is the perfect Grindelwald. I cried so much, and will be seeing it every week until it leaves theatres.
Absolutely i agree, in contrary of the people that thinks the senario was weak, this comment is truly perfect. They just want the every single detail about Dumbledores :D, so pity.
This man just keeps copy and pasting this comment in every Secrets of Dumbledore video.
I loved Lali and Jakobe sceens. The book magic. Lali is an amazing woman of her Era I can so see her in this Era. Mads made Grindawald easier to hate in this film. Johnny Depp was more like Malificent sort of Vivian where as Mad was Scar.
"Uncle Scar, you're weird..."
"You have no idea."
MAAAAAADS!!!!!!
That's a director that knows how to make everyone feel like they're part of the process, letting them feel invested in the outcome.
The director must love theatre, who else noticed there was more of practical effects than CGI/blur&green screen on set. I don’t think I even saw any. Everything, or at least, most of it were built on-set. Amazing! 🤯
Thank you so much for uploading. Love these people so much
I loved this movie!!!
you joking ... right?

Spoiler Free Review - I have been a long time Harry Potter fan..💯 And as recently I have completed the book series, I fell in love with this to franchise even more, with that being said.. This 3rd installment of the Harry Potter spin off Prequel series Fantastic Beasts The Secrets Of Dumbledore was just a blast.. 💎💎It brought back the magic that made our hearts jump and it has all those nostalgia that true Potterheads recognize.. It's Truely an amazing piece of art and I definitely highly recommend all Potterheads to go to the theater and experience it there! ✅⚡
This movie deserves to hit
Every actor did an amazing job and they worked hard for this film!
Kindly respect that as well ✨
PS - Make sure to re-watch the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts 1 and 2 and learn the background of Dumbledore's story to understand this movie in a better way!

Me too! It's the best one of the franchise so far
Write, shoot and Repeat! That’s the key 🔑!!! Thanks a lot, Ryan 🙏
love to see these behind the scenes best to learn 👍🏻
I really love these movies. Really good quality. I can't wait for the next Fantastic Beasts movie. Can't wait. I'm so excited.
Me too!
Looking at the behind the scenes, I think the actors are amazing!!
Thank you for sharing these BTS tidbits with us! I love hearing the process of the actors and director when they make these movies. I loved the movie !
Jude law is an amazing Dumbledore 💜
Awesome as always!
Wow the behind the scenes are fantastic too.
Very nice thank you for sharing!
JACOB REALLY OUT HERE LIVING OUR DREAMS 😭
Thanks for this bro!
I dearly hope the last movie will just go full dark mode.. Show the war for the horrible experience it was for the wizarding world. The casualties, the betrayals, the sinister nuances. Depp or Mikkelsen, both did a wonderful job. Depp was very charismatic as the evil, scary wizard, where as Mikkelsen truly showed us how he could charm everyone onto his side. (Can't forget Colin though, we lost him in the series WAY too early.. Fantastic display of wizardry acting!)
Love your new setup!!
Very cool. Thanks.
3:55 mads
Mads grindelwald>johnny’a grindelwald
Love that A-Roll setup!! 🤙🏻
I enjoy this movie better than the other two, can’t wait to see the ultimate final duel between albus and gellert
My 3 key complaints with the movie:
--Warner's treatment of Depp (duh)
--The entire thing with breaking Theseus out of prison could have been cut out & no one would have noticed
--Tina getting booted out of most of the movie (I mean, why?)
I went to see fanstic beasts today and loved it
Thank you!❤️
i love seeing bts of mayor filmsss :) nice done
I went to watch this movie today. It was so good!!
It’s so cool!
Very cool guys from Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦 😀
I really wish more behind the scenes videos were like your "On Set Experience" video where you see things as if you were a fly on the wall. This is just a bunch of talking heads of actors selling the movie.
I guess he's mostly been pitching so there hasn't been too much production lately besides the skits for the channel.
Personally though I would love to see an uncut 360 video of a film set during filming for like an hour just to get the experience of everything.
Awesome.
I really liked ther latest installment in the fantastic animal series. Civing you the character of Dumbledore à look with à lot of tenderness, kidness and melancoly. He really is à beautiful character thoroug your eyes ! 💖
Thanks
Well it was the usual actors talk without going into Details about Filmmaking (directing, camera Work, VFX techniques), so i get much more Out of your traditional filmriot episodes
Actors are also a great part of filmmaking. No matter how good our gear and story is, with subpar actors it will fall flat. I really enjoyed this episode because I could learn a lot about several facets of directing. How to be open to ideas without sacrificing your vision, some practical examples of how to be positive and empathetic when giving feedback, the importance of properly casting, to name a few. And also, just by seeing some of the raw footage and how it ended up looking after, I also could already have some good guesses of how some effects were made to the point that I could go and try reproduce them.
Awesome
David F. Sandberg mentioned in a video of his once that BTS for big movies is usually more of a promotional take for the movie and not very educational. I agree with that and wish we would be able to get more in depth bts with comments from the director and dp. That would be awesome.
I enjoyed this film. 😃
3 Oscar winners in the same movie: awesome.
FilmRiot!!! Please do a tutorial on how to create the title reveal of this movie... Its so good... how to pull it out like that! i wonder
Ryan!!! I have that same shirt. Nicereeee
Some respect to Hufflepuff (and probably the last) that's 3 out 4 houses Ravenclaw needs to be next
I can't wait for the day when someone comes up with something new in the movie industry like The Matrix did back then. VFX was new and it blew everyone's minds. Right now VFX is just...I don't know, we've seen too much that it doesn't excite anymore.
Finally someone else said it! I've been saying this for a while. Now don't get wrong, I still love watching movies, but with that being said I 100% get where you are coming from. For me it's more nothing is really original anymore. It's either sequels, remakes, reboots, prequels or based of books or games. It's almost like writers are getting a little lazy.
@@crazy_ninja_force5225 yes I agree! All that contributes. Let us see a completely new idea that's never been seen or done before! That would be awesome and we'll get to relive the awesomeness that is supposed to be in movies.
I had to reread this lol I was like new didn't they steal the idea from someone but you're right we need new vfx can't wait to see what's the next innovative thing
I will show you
VFX is not the highlight of this video, this video put practical set design and brilliant costume design on display.
R u gonna do that paper transportation tutotial that part of movie i like very much
Cane here after watching the movie, you know its good when you have to see The BTS to make sure they all getting along 🍿
I love this movie 🎥
Why does it feel there are a lot of deleted scenes ? ☹
this is a great TEAM movie, which is more like the HP movies. i loved it.
I saw this move yesterday and Tina was in it a bit
I LOVE Eulalie as a character 😭😭😭
What is at 8:40 in the left - down corner holding that man in his hand, what equipment is it and what is it used for? I see 2 green digits changing, and he is following the filming crew.
He's pulling focus.
Wireless focus pulling
I think the hatred these films receive is absolutely outrageous. It’s beyond uncalled for. To think that other franchises get critical acclaim with none of the artistic quality and superb craftsmanship seen in this series, and on display in this video, is horrible. I’ve seen the most dumb criticisms and insults leveled against these films that are invalidated by this behind the scenes footage alone. It’s beyond offensive. Harry Potter is not something that a lot of fanboys seem to care about, yet it’s this franchise that gets the smearing and the vitriolic hatred? That just goes to show that many have a mean-spirited ulterior motive in their smearing. It’s despicable to see.
I hope they hire a new, bright and fun director for the future of the Wizarding World. These movies are grey and magic should be fun... not always serious.
The movies don't have a lighthearted tone, so...no.
@@decrox13 yeah, but many of us are just tired that it takes itself so seriously... maybe they should do something different with it so...yes
Not everything has to be Marvel, please, stop. You are the type of person that can’t stomach anything understated, realistic, gothic, or dark. Not everything has to be “colorful” and visually overstated, and this franchise hasn’t been like that. It has serious themes
@@decrox13 I think you know me, so I guess you are right!
*Then please do an effect from this film* ... *That "3 points to Hufflepuff" smoke trail...or maybe THE TITLE fx..or THE ADVANCED STRINGY APPARATION fx* ...plss I REQUEST YOU film riot 😀😀
It seems there are a lot of interesting scenes that we don't see in the movie :( That's a shame...
I mean... almost all scenes were in the movie... but in fact, there’s a lot of deleted scenes
My two all time favorites of behind the scenes is
Nightmare on elm street never sleep again (3hr doc)
Michael Jackson the making of Thriller.
Old school practical effects ,I’m sorry but practical effects it’s an dying art
And are y’all ever going to do a tutorial of the hat trick pulling lots of things out a hat like an umbrella, a bazooka, giant cartoon hammer etc etc
Multiple ways you can do that last one: stage magicians placed it on a table with a hole cut in the top and usually amir at a 45° angle by the legs so it has a huge storage space underneath even though it looks like it doesn't with movies this is a lot easier to fake with some classic switcheroo's and masking.
You can also have an actor pull out effectively a green handle as a placeholder for your weapon then in the next shot have them hold it then just in the actual shot model your weapon and put it in through CG
"fabby" hahahah
Mads😍
Nothing against David Yates But I think they need some new directors.
I don’t. Lmao.
what were those boom mics?
너무 재밋다 ㅜㅜ
I can't wait to see this next month on HBOMax! Last time I went to theaters I saw Spiderman and that's when I got covid so I am scared to go to theaters again.
I love newton scamander
This movie took so long I can't remember what happened in the first two.
Better get caught up and get ready for this one EH?
@@SuperMoviemaster21 as I should.
Nothing happened in the 2nd actually lol
Mads debió ser Grindelwald desde el principio. pero Warner por subir la taquilla...
When are we hitting 2 Million subs?

3:26 what i asked my self is, why does ezra miller have face tracking dots on his face? In the scene was his face not changed in anyway :)
I wonder how many Carlsberg beers we will see through the movie. 😏
Lol, seven, "probably".
PLEASE READ: Hey Ryan! I'm a big fan, I have an idea that you guys could do. You guys could write a 15 page script in 24 hours and film it in 48. You could be able to show us how you write your scripts and your ideas.
We urgently need a new director for this franchise. David Yates has been ruining the magical world since HP5. He may be a good person but he is not a good director for this kind of story.
No, he enhanced the magical world. He made it feel more real.
After learning that Johnny Depp lost his role in this film because of Amber Heard, I have lost interest in this film.
Dan Fogler 😆😆😆
💯
wow, it looks to me like they despilled most of the blue-/greenscreens for this BTS release. Is there a new technique used I don't know about yet with more grey-ish screens? Or has the "vfx is always bad" hype come so far, that they actively try to hide/remove it in BTS material? Which would mean we don't get to see the real "before" anymore?
What? This movie built its own sets. It didn’t use that much blue and green screen.
I would love to see moon knight ep 3 tutorial
Mads is a good actor for a kids film. JD is better for all kinds of movies, coz he's the best actor.
Money talks....
Jude ,Mads and Eddie were amazing in the movie.I must say ,I didn't like anything else though
JACOBO WONG
Magic? Yeah sure there is. But fight scenes?? Yes Albus and Grindelwald fought but that was nothing compared to Albus vs You know who. Plus Dumbledore and Grindelwald didn't even kissed!
It's not the final battle. That's many years later.
Maybe I shouldn’t watch this.. I haven’t seen the movie yet. 😅
Yeah bro, after a certain point I’m not babying anyone on set, not necessarily being an ass. More about cutting through the bullshit.
spoilers
😅
I mean it is Okey, but i miss Johnny Depp so much 🥺 he was The best Grindelwald ever ❤️
Madden Mallon is the superior grindewald he’s more of a subtle minupulitive person while drop is more chaotic
idk Johnny Depp maybe would be great if he's still there
