I was at an event where the DG of NCC said they have told Starlink that the payment must be in Naira.
This better be true because that's the only thing preventing me from buying starlink.

This is what I ve been waiting for. Nigerians can now enjoy true unlimited fast monthly internet without any data cap.
The only draw back is for the Nigerian govt to insist that Nigerian naira bank ATM cards should be accepted for payment to avoid paying with black market rate.

It's pricey! even for someone living outside Nigeria
I started using it since 16/12/2022, everything is ok, just a little problem which we're yet to know whether it's hardware or software problem, the latency not bad shaa, but it's really bad for C.O.D gamers but the network speed is good.
You'd need something like fiber, LTE or 5G through a router for good latency. Satellite internet is best for streaming and regular use.

@@SupremeStrategist you have to understand something about online gaming. Let me try to explain it as much as I can. The latency you get when using starlink in Nigeria cannot be the same with the latency you get when playing cod. This is because the cod game server is not in Nigeria. The nearest cod game server to Nigeria is in the UK. That alone adds 100ms to whatever latency you are getting in Nigeria. So if your starlink latency is 30ms in Nigeria, it will be 130ms when you connect to UK servers. This is why you latency in cod is around 130ms even though your starlink latency is 30ms in Nigeria. I don't know if it's clear enough. Distance between Nigeria and UK is what is adding the additional 100ms latency. The only way you will get 30ms in cod while playing from Nigeria is if activision decides to create a Nigerian Cod game server. As far as you are paying from Nigeria while your cod is connected to UK servers, your latency will be around 130-140ms. That's why you are at a disadvantage because your opponents are playing from UK so their own latency will be 20-30ms. If the cod connects to an American game server instead of UK server (which can happen if there are no available players in the UK lobby), your latency will increase further to around 230ms because America is further away than the UK. There is a way you can decide which server to connect to in the settings. I usually choose to connect to UK servers. I wish game developers could create an African game server for Africans but I guess Africa isn't important to them. This also applies to other online games. I play many online pc games and I usually get an average latency of 140-160ms in all of them when using Airtel internet

As long as you've access to my Wifi Password you can use it, No data plan (It is Unlimited Data for your monthly subscription no matter how many devices you connect) Yes Call Centers or companies can use it.

Sure...it comes with a wireless router. Meaning you can setup your home or office network with it. And i also believe that like other routers the starlink router should be able to connect with other 3rd party network devices for more versatility.

You don't need to create hotspot from once device to another. Just use a repeater in the case of wifi coverage drop in some areas in the location
