Any of the Best Films by Christopher Nolan
@_Cinenerd_ again you weren't
Wow, you are so off the mark in so many ways.
Guardians of the galaxy, volume three
DarkKnight Trilogy
Christopher Nolan in this century : Inception , Oppenheimer , The Dark Knight trilogy , Interestellar...absolutely amazing , goat director
That’s SIR Christopher Nolan now!
The Prestige, Dunkirk, Memento.
🤯
Wasn't all but one of his movies released this century?
Dark Knight trilogy (especially Dark Knight) and Memento are great, but he's terrifically overrated as a director. Inception is a visual spectacle riddled with plotholes for anyone with half a brain, Interstellar is pretentious garbage, and his other stuff is average at best.
Saying The Social Network is the #1 best movie of the century so far is practically a war crime.
Yeah no shit. I mean, it was ok. Nowhere near better than No Country or There Will Be Blood
I bet Watchmojo got paid by Zuck to make this vide
I feel this list was done for a younger crowd….so many great films not mentioned… sad….
Yup
wtf are you smoking putting the social network 1st? lol man your list are way out to lunch.
The snubs from this list are brutal…. Where’s Inglourious Basterds? Zero Dark Thirty? The Departed? Grand Budapest Hotel? Drive? Interstellar? Gone Girl?
@@lateksipumppubut black panther can 😂
@@ragingriver9012that was the worst inclusion for me. The praise it gets is insane. It’s a good film, but shouldn’t be anywhere near a list like this.
Gone girl? Man that movie suuuuucked.
The fact that you didn't include Interstellar on this list should be a crime.
It kinda got an honorable mention. But, yeah I prefer it to some of his other blockbusters (e.g. Inception).
It will be on their next list that will come out probably tomorrow "Top 50 Best Movies of the Century (So Far)"
Interstellar is pretentious garbage aimed at normies.

Whats your number 1
bro is a gen z lol. If you really interested in filmmaking u like social network if not then forget it.
His no.1 is hottie and the naughty
@@dosubscibe_plzit’s a great movie but the general consensus will not say its number 1 by any stretch of the imagination. In fact you wouldn’t be able to name one person that if you asked them what is their favorite motion picture ever they would say the social network without someone throwing it out there for them, meaning it wouldn’t be a first thought. Also to make a list like this and not only not have avatar on there but to include none of them is crazy. Literally the top grossing film ever with the second as number 3😂 a lot of these movies were low end as well. Relatively, solid picking with a couple on there I haven’t seen that also looked worth checking out but overall I wouldn’t signify this opinion by any stretch of the imagination, and once again, I think the general population would agree
Fight club
Seven
Gone girl
The social network on 1? really? social network isnt even top 50.
Yes it is. Even a Goat like Quentin Tarantino said it was the best movie of the last decade. Social Network is literally perfect. Great acting, dialogue, score, and it isn't even 2 hours long.
@@Gavin48yep, it's the one movie I can say I have absolutely 0 issues with. It fires on all cylinders in every aspect.
I would not have given it number 1... personally, whiplash is far more memorable than social network
for a movie thats dialogue only and very very low action it is pretty fucking good and relevant. it does deserve top 30
@@jimmydeansausage6952 Whiplash is a great 1 time watch. But it is a movie that has very little rewatchabilty. Whereas TSN you could watch it multiple times and still be impressed by it.

Don't think Facebook should have been on that list at all.
The Social Network? Bro...c'mon! No way!

I’d say the movies on the list are deserved… just in the wrong fucking order
One that I keep coming back to over, and over, and over again is Children of Men. Masterpiece of a movie. Stunning, gripping, well acted. Exceptional.
I really enjoyed Children of Men too. One of my top 10.

Love wall-e
-1 for failed pun attempts. Not even giving them the honor of being called bad puns. stop it.
The Dark Knight is, without a doubt, one of the greatest films ever made, thanks to the charismatic Heath Ledger’s brilliant performance.
The greatest performance in any movie ever is largely considered Heath Ledger as the Joker. The Dark Knight is absolute cinema
@@robdrix8413 No, it's not. I personally don't even think it's Heath Ledger's best performance. Watch Brokeback Mountain if you wanna know what I'm talking about.

Your list kind of sucks.
Thanks for including Hereditary and Get Out. Horror movies always get overlooked by the academy for some stupid reason.
Agree on both as well.
Get out is in every list, even though it's actually garbage. It's basically a remake of another movie, but made worse. Even the medical transplant scene had us yelling at the incompetence of the scene. Imagine if actual surgery was done this way, we would all be dead... just so much wrong with the movie. Yeah, I get it, "everyone secretly wants to be black" ooh... what a concept....

Social Network? Are you kidding?
I know right even though this is one of my personal favorite🤣
Its a watchmojo list, what do you expect
Honestly
Infinity War>>>> Endgame
I love Endgame don’t get me wrong, but Infinity War had a more interesting and complex story as well as more crossover appeal
Both films could be on the list, however.... *Endgame* is the better movie by far. It's a true masterpiece. Better character study, deeper themes. It was also better reviewed by critics and was better loved by audiences. It's mostly comic book fan boys and not cinephiles who think Infinity War was better because it was closer to a traditional Super Hero action film in some ways. Endgame for the win. [again]
I've also noticed a lot of folks who like Infinity War don't really understand it.
True.
Both are terrible. Marvel movies are trash. Martin Scorsese was right about them
*There have been way too many classics this century to name…*
- City of God
- Parasite
- The Lord of the Rings trilogy
- The Wolf of Wall Street
- Oppenheimer
- The Dark Knight
- Whiplash
- There Will Be Blood
- Dune Part Two
- Blade Runner 2049
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Mad Max Fury Road
- Spirited Away
- Mulholland Drive
- Inglourious Basterds
- Get Out
- The Departed
- The Social Network
The social network?
Incredibly Western-centric. You need to get out more.
- Incendies
- Amelie
- No Country for Old Men
- The Lives of Others
- Howl Moving Castle
- Prisoners
- American Psycho
- Memories of Murder
Perhaps Watchmojo should do a Top 100 Best Movies of the Century (So Far) list!
They forgot to mention Godzilla Minus One, Spirited Away, Drive, Up, Spider-man 2, Oldboy and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
@romangunter621 Meh for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
I think there was a severe lack of Pixar on here, and UP is probably most deserving.
Just as well that Jordan Peele quit acting after being offered the role of Poop in The Emoji Movie, as we might not have such fantastic horror movies as a result.
_Avengers: Infinity War_ and _The Dark Knight_ are the two movies to share the top spot for my favorite superhero movies.
@Jeremiah_Rivers76 The Dark Knight yes the other hmmmmm I get it…
Am I the only one who didn’t think Oppenheimer was anything special?
Kind of, yes
No you're not. It was really a career honor at the Oscars for Nolan and well deserved but it's not even in my top 5 Nolan films...same with Departed which isn't in my top 5 Scorsese films....
It was good but perhaps it's being overhyped

For sure
Agree was amazing in the cinema. I’m interested to see how Dune 2 holds up on rewatches because if I’m completely honest I didn’t really follow some of the motives… but it was such a spectacle it didn’t really matter in the moment.

Great list buddy
Pretty good one
This is more a list of fan favorites than top movies.
Then where is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! ;)
I'm glad you mentioned Moonlight. The characters are very real, some people might have even met people like them, and doesn't feel the need to have a tight-bow ending because real people are complex and multifaceted.
I watch Hereditary out of pure chance while surfing one of mine streaming platforms for new movies. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.
RIP CHADWICK BOSEMAN LEGEND [1976-2020]
Black Panther was an excellent film, and belongs on the list, and the haters are welcome to end up proving why.
Yes
Not even close to beeing a legend!
I never even knew who he was before he died and now i am just annoyed everytime i have to hear that name and how people overhype that guy.
No one would even talk about him if he was alive besides maybe some superhero fan boys who don´t even know what a good movie and actor looks like.
Ahhh okay
Black Panther sucked
All things considered, I would only change ONE thing about this list:
I'd replace Black Panther (which doesn't even deserve to crack a Top 50 list IMO) for Children of Men.
Last 24 years has produced more than 30 top films.
I think this list won’t be divisive at all😅
The Dark Knight and the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King are my favourites.
ROTK will always be overrated for me. Still waiting for Sauron to show up for the fight, and wondering how barefoot Frodo planned to walk up an active volcano called Mount Doom, and also why wizard Gandolph who somehow killed a Godzilla sized fire demon cannot simply fly on his eagles to get the damned ring over the mountain and drop it.
I've heard every bad excuse from- he didn't trust himself with the ring - > *So have Frodo fly along, no problem* - to...
He was scared that the all seeing eye - would 'see' him. To which my answer is....
What kind of eye can see you if you fly and stop you... but can't do anything if you walk??
And.....
Why does Gandolph care - he is so OP *right from the start* that he crushes everything in his path.
He scared the Nazghoul away. Who's going to catch him and stop him when he's on a giant eagle?
lol.
And - Sauron leaves mount doom completely unguarded while his mud men outnumber the good guys 1 million to 1, but still lose.
Also they die when the ring is destroyed (another cliche now used in 1 million video games) - but that means the fighting was pointless....
Fly ring over mountain and destroy it - and film is unnecessary.
I know I know it's fantasy.
It's just the extreme corny basis of so many cliches....and I'm turned off by it.
Awesome movies.
@eugeniapatroncosta920 Good films.
@@summertyme5748 Blame it all on Tolkien then.
