Hmmm. I would say on average i spent 25 usd per day. I stayed in the backpacker hostels which are very modest but nice. Bagan and Mandalay have Ostello Bello, those are also great places to meet other travellers.

Mainly bus. I booked a flight from Bagan to Yangon but if i went again i would go by bus to save money. You can book a bus at your hotel reception.
