Episode 17: The Grand Canyon of Georgia (Cloudland Canyon)

This time last year we came to Cloudland Canyon, and here we are again ..it’s the first week of fall and we’re back in the beautiful outdoors of Georgia. If you’ve seen my video “Top 5 most beautiful hikes of the south” you may remember I voted Cloudland Canyon as my number #1 most beautiful hike of the south. So beautiful, in fact, I said I would come back every year, and so we did. We decided to keep it a little easier today since I had my son this time, so we chose not to hike around the rim of the canyon ..which is the most scenic trail in the park lol …Instead we decided just to go down into the canyon and explore the waterfalls, well both waterfalls were completely dried up smh. So I was challenged with the task of creating a video worth watching, while using a location we had already made an episode with, at the same time NOT using the most scenic viewpoints of the park AND the waterfalls we hiked to were both dry smh …but I accepted the challenge and enjoyed my journey, you guys tell me what you think
Disclaimer: in the video when I say that I’m disappointed, I ONLY mean about the waterfalls being dried up. My son was looking forward to seeing the waterfalls and they were to be the focal point of the video so that was disappointing but that’s it …Cloudland Canyon in general is incredible and a must see for all hikers.

It’s still as beautiful as ever. And with the sprinkling of fall-colored trees throughout the largely leafy green forest it was peeking on remarkably beautiful.
