Yeah I love Lightsworns but JD was such a broken card back in the day. Having a 3K body, being able to drop multiples at a time, for no _real_ cost, and being a non once per turn Ignition effect is crazy.
If it got made nowadays it'd be like "Must first be Special Summoned (from the hand) by banishing 4 Lightsworn monsters with different names from your GY. If this card is Special Summoned by its own effect: you can pay half your LP; destroy all other cards on the field.
Or worse yet that garage JD synchro monster thing they made lol.

Would be really cool if they retrain Panik's cards:
      Levitation Ring of Dark Illusions
      Field Spell
When this card is activated, you can banish 1 "Swords of Revealing Light" from your hand, deck, or GY; Special Summon 1 "Castle of Dark Illusions" from your hand, deck, or GY, then add 1 "Dark Illusions" card from your deck to your hand. Other "Dark Illusions" cards cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn (Quick effect), if you control "Castle of Dark Illusions", You can flip all Attack Position monsters you control into face-down Attack Position, then, rearrange all face-down monsters you control. (Battle positions are not changed. Face-down attack position monsters can attack, but are flipped at the start of the damage step.) At the end of your 3rd End Phase after this card was activated, your opponent can add 1 card from your Banished Zone to their hand. While "Swords of Revealing Light" is face-up, all "Dark Illusion" card effects on the field are negated.
      The Dark Illusions
      Continuous Spell
If a monster you control that was previously face-down this turn battles, during damage calculation, increase it's ATK/DEF by 1000, until the End Phase. Once per turn, you can apply these effects based on the number of other "Dark Illusions" cards you control with different names:
1+: Special Summon 1 "Barox" from your Extra Deck, then you can add 1 "Dark Illusions" card from your deck to your hand.
2+: Special Summon 1 "Dark Chimera" from your hand, deck, or GY, then send 1 "Darkness Approaches" from your hand or deck to the GY and apply its effect, or add it to your hand.
3+: Special Summon 1 "King of Yamakai" from your hand, deck or GY, then flip any number of monsters on the field face-down ATK position and send face-up cards on the field to the GY equal to the number of cards flipped by this effect (Face-down attack position monsters can attack, but are flipped at the start of the damage step.)
      The Reaper of Dark Illusions
      Counter Trap
If you control "Castle of Dark Illusions": Special Summon 1 "Reaper of the Cards" from your hand or deck face-down, then you can send 1 face-up card on the field to the GY. You can banish this card from the GY; Special Summon 1 "Reaper of the Cards" from your GY face-down, then send 1 monster your opponent controls to the GY, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK.
You can only use each effect of "Reaper of Dark Illusions
      " once per turn.
      Guardian of Dark Illusions
      Continuous Spell
If you control "Castle of Dark Illusions", you can special Summon 1 "Metal Guardian" from your hand, deck, or GY, then you can activate 1 "Yellow Luster Shield" from your deck. While you control both "Metal Guardian" and "Yellow Luster Shield", your opponent cannot target "Dark Illusions" cards, or Face-down cards you control with effects. If a "Dark Illusions" card on the field would be targeted by a card effect, you can banish this card from your GY; negate that effect. You can only use each effect of "Guardian of Dark Illusions
      " once per turn.

What about Rainbow Neos? He's a Lot easier to bring now thanks to Neos Fusion using materials from the deck and he not only gets rid of everything on the field, it can also target the graveyard which, to certain decks, can be more devastating than a field nuke.

My personal favorites are the Five Headed Link Dragon, and Rainbow Overdragon.
With my stantard Dinosaur combos, and Halquifibrax and Battlemech providing the 2 attributes I can't reliably stick on my main deck, it's easy to get the nuke effect off. Then I can just use him and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno for the OTK.
Similarly, there is a no better feeling than saying "on your End Phase" and watching your opponent shuffle his deck, knowing that a battalion of Rainbow Dragon will annihilate him on the next turn.

So I think these could make good top 10s:
    1) Spell Card (that don’t draw)
    2) Trap Cards (that don’t counter/negate)
    3) Most Powerful Monsters (and by that I do me consistent and meta relevant effects, I mean powerful like they have big grandiose effects)
    4) Most Powerful Banned Cards (either for their consistency level like PoG, or just because their effects are broken af like Firewall Dragon)
    5) Most Powerful cards to give to your opponent. (And by that I mean giving your opponent control of a card you played with something like Creature Swap)

I've had some ideas for new cards. More specifically, new Gandora cards.
    "Gandora's Stone of Destruction"
Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
    500 ATK/300 DEF
"If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Gandora's Chick' from your Deck to your hand."
    "Gandora's Chick"
Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
    800 ATK/500 DEF
"You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand or deck, ignoring its summoning conditions."
"Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation"
Level 8, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
    0 ATK/0 DEF
"Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 'Gandora' monster from your hand or field to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each banished card. Once per turn: You can pay half your LP to negate the effects of all other cards on the field, and if you do, banish them. This card cannot attack the same turn this effect is activated."
    "Rise of Gandora"
    Spell card
"Select 1 level 8 'Gandora' monster from your Deck; banish it. During your next Standby phase, add it to your hand."
    "Gandora's Revenge"
    Trap card
"Activate this card only when a 'Gandora' monster you control is targeted for an attack or by a monster's effect. Destroy the opponent's monster, ignoring its effects, and inflict damage to the opponent equal to the monster's ATK (card effects cannot be activated in response to this card). You can only use the effect of 'Gandora's Revenge" once per turn."

Another take on CED, we can have a situational use-case where we use it as a nuke to drain opponents life points to 0.
Totally depends on the number of cards on field & in hand, and also the opponent's life point need to be low enough, preferably lower than 3000.
Kinda hard to pull off, considering when we're at that point, the players might only have small number of cards.

I feel like the ritual monster demise supreme king of armageddon is really good cause in the hand its name is demise king of armageddon so you can use turning of the worlds to summon it instead of the ritual card listed for it.

    • @nihildwo4874
      @nihildwo4874 Před 4 lety

i mean i played the deck. i m somewhat contemplating whether or not the new demise and the original demise is better, because the original one isnt once per turn, and well, floating exists. also, i don t see the point of any "of the world" support cards for this deck [apart from the ritual spells ofc] because those things focus on quick-play ritual summoning without any on summon or quick effects on the monsters it can summon. it would be a different story if this was a shinobird support card for example.
also, don t get me started on that crap field spell. its a brick in your starting hand most of the time and doesn t do anything to unbrick you, and ON TOP it is not immune to destruction [you know, the thing that you are supposed to do when playing the deck] or gives you a search or anything when destroyed.
also the ritual spells are still the better way to summon the original demise via the ritual spell vs turning of the world because the generic ritual support (pre-prep and impcantations, manju/senju) is just THAT much better in terms of getting you resources.
