The Move had one of the most dynamic lineup with tons of potential- Each member was Charismatic and dynamic. Too bad more footage like that 1967 Beat Club stuff does not seemingly exist.
I’m 16 year old guitar/bass player, ace is my inspiration. Ever since I saw night of fear on the beat club channel I was so inspired. Whenever I played onstage afterward I would move the same, wear sunglasses, Carnaby shirts, that godly bass tone, and a white p bass. Making a slab body for it, that performance was my inspiration. I’d love for this comment to reach him, cheers from Connecticut
He has seen it and is very grateful
great Martin Thank you !!
These interviews are so fascinating and after watching Ace in that black and white version of fire brigade on totp he caught my attention. naturally I googled him and found out all these fascinating aspects. From what I have read the rest of the band thought him a bit odd, perhaps due to his drug taking and bi-polar, but more than anything Ace is a proper Brummy with a brilliant sense of humour. My mom grew up in Digbeth, she was a bit older but I do wonder if their paths crossed at some beautiful moment. Most likely she told Ace to 'piss off you cheeky little sod'. If Ace gets to read this did his mom ever scare him from loitering by saying Spikey Bevan will get you?
Darts had the big hit in the uk with Duke of earl in 1979 and was produced by Roy wood ,
Great footage ! Thanks!!
