@@ERod2010 But we got Michael Keaton as the Vulture in Spider-Man Homecoming so we swapped Freddy Krueger and Ghandi for Beetlejuice or Batman. I say it was a pretty good trade.
He was lined up to play the Doctor after Christopher Eccleston, but then they gave the role to David Tennant, hence the reason why they gave Bill that awesome cameo in the 5th season in which he is dressed exactly like the Doctor and the Doctor compliments him on his bow tie.
Since Mysterio's going to be in the new Sinister Six, my pick to play him would be Jeffrey Combs. Mysterio will likely have his face covered a lot, so we need an actor whose voice seems scary and otherworldly. Watch Combs as the Question in Justice League or Scarecrow in Batman and tell me he's not perfect.
Well William Dafoe and Alfred Molina 100% returned for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Thomas Hayden Church's... VOICE returned. Due to various reasons (mostly COVID related) Church wasn't able to physically return for the role and though they got his voice, his human appearance at the end was stock footage and his sand design was brought to life through director Jon Watts motion capture and CG. I guess it's still Church's take on the character though that was most important.
Also, with regards to the Rhino not having much character, I thought he was fleshed out nicely in one of the Spiderman novels "The Darkest Hours." Though yeah... he normally doesn't have much. Still, props to Butcher for taking a one-note character and making an interesting one.
I agree with you on all the casting choices. For a little irony, before Anne Hathaway decided to play Catwoman, she was approached for Black Cat in Spider-man 4. Either way, it's a win-win situation. If the movies hadn't gotten rebooted, I would've said Daniel Radcliffe for Parker, since he and Tobey Macguire favor each other in appearance.
I LOVE the spectacular spiderman! And I know you're all done with this casting couch (for almost two years, but whatev) but I think they should have gotten Josh Hutcherson to play Spidey in the reboot. He's a lot younger, and he could pull off high schooler for a bit longer than Garfield. Oh, and he's a decent actor, too ;)
Wow some excellent picks! My favorite was Jake Busey as Carnage. Such a good idea, I mean he has the look and can act creepy as hell to go with it! Jamie as Blackcat I cant agree with but I dont really have a pick myself so not much to say but Id much rather have her than most others.
Glad you approve. And one more thing: am I the only one who thinks that if they wanted a rival love interest in Spider-Man 3, they should have gone with Black Cat instead of Gwen Stacy? Also, they should have opened the movie with Spidey saving John Jameson's shuttle, which was carrying the symbiote. Not only would it have been a great opening scene, but It would have been a nice homage to the first Spidey comic book.
We'll have to wait and see. Personally, I'm with ERod on this one and I'll prefer to see the versions of the characters that were presented in the animated series.
I was really interested to hear who you would have picked for The Shocker. For some reason I've always liked him (maybe because it takes a brave man to wear a quilt for a ccostume ). Do you have any opinions of who it should be?
All I can say about Woody Harrelson as Venom is he's a little old, I feel he should be around the same age as Peter, but other then that, it's pretty spot on
ERod, I have an idea. When you do your CC episodes, why don't you also reveal your pick for the director you would like to see tackle the potential projects you talk about? For example, I personally would go with: - The Wachowskis for Justice League (writing & directing) - Mike Newell for Gargoyles - David S. Goyer for Ninja Turtles (writing & directing, WITHOUT Bay producing) - Chris Columbus for Teen Titans - Marc Webb for Thundercats
What about Hugo Weaving as the Green Goblin? I think he could pull off the cold and arrogantly confident business man really well, but he'd also be great at playing the unpredictable, deranged psychopath side of the character. Plus, the guy looks the part too.
@SuperDipstick84 He was kind enough to come to my film school to talk to us about transitioning from being a struggling young video director to a feature film director and then he actually stayed after the lecture and spoke with a few of us casually.
I've also kind if seen Jackie Earle Haley as Carnage or Kifer Sutherland as him his performance in Phone Booth was really intimidating and he played crazy really well in The Lost Boys
Great choices man, espically with the hobgoblin, venom, carnage, my favorite villans. The only problem I had was with Steve Buscemi as the scorpion, I just can't see him as this chracters. As for the rest, I tollay agree with you. alsoo what is your top 3 favorite villians.
I was surprised that you didn't mention the Lizard since that seems to be who they're going with, and it's who they so obviously forgot to do in the previous three movies, aside from the Dr. Connor's cameo. Although I'm sure it's just going to be CG. x_x
@ERod2010 You also noticed the last four Spidey shows, 90's, Unlimited, CGI, and Spectacular are ended in cliffhangers? WTF is there like a Spidey curse? At least the Raimi Spiderman Trilogy ended tying up all loose ends. I hope that the new Ultimate Spiderman show coming in 2012 doesn't end prematurely as well.
Hey, ERod. I just wanted to know: you said you wouldn't mind Defoe, Church or Molina returning. But, since they in all likelyhood WILL be recasted, who would you pick?
If Tiny Lester is Rhino, he can break Rhys Ifans out of jail. And they can cause chaos on New York City. Wait a minute, that actually did happen. It's called Little Nicky.
@DKrules9 Ha, have you ever noticed that Episode of Kim Possible called the Fearless Farret which is a parody of Batman Beyond with Will Fridel once again playing the character who is being trained and guided by the original hero, who's played by ADAM freaking WEST!!!
My Choices for the villains Dolph Lundgren=Adrian Tooms/Vulture Guy Pearce=Quentin Beck/Mysterio Richard Roxburgh=Norman Osborn/Green Goblin Justin Chatwin=Eddie Brock/Venom Elliott Gould=Segrei Kravinoff/Kraven Al Pacino=Aleksei Sytsevich/Rhino Geoffrey Rush=Otto Octavius/Dr. Octopus Bob Odenkirk=Dr. Curtis 'Curt' Connors Andy Serkis=The Lizard Wes Bentley=MacDonald Mac Gergen/Scorpion Brad Dourif=Cletus Kasady/Carnage Vin Diesel=Flint Marko/Sandman In my Spiderman Franchise 2007-2010 Elijah Wood=Peter Parker / Spiderman Katie Holmes=Mary Jane Watson Mark Wahlberg=Harry Osborn Robert Carlyle=Ben Parker Cate Blanchett=Aunt Mary J. K. Simmons=J. Jonah Jameson Pamela Anderson=Gwen Stacy Nick Palatas as=Flash Allies Brad Pitt=Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider Jessica Alba=Felica Hardy/The Black Cat Adrian Brody=Bruce Banner/The Hulk Additional Villain Kunal Nayyar=Max Dillon/Electro
I liked everything exempt the ending. I couldn't believe the two girls would be stupid enough to go to the fucking theme park, that pissed me off to no end.
Rhino, Luke Cage, Bane. I should seriously become a criminal so that when I'm in prison, I can volunteer for an experiment that will give super strength
Especially since NBK are based on killings by the hitman Charles Harrelson and if you think that the last name seem familiar you're correct because Charles Harrelson was the father of Wood Harrelson.
Gary Busey is defiantly a great choice for Carnage, but what about Brad Douriff, he's proved that in Child's Play and Spontaneous Combustion that he can play insane psychopaths and just imagine that laugh on Carnage.
First of all here are plenty of actors who are playing multiple roles in Comic Book Movies like Chris Evan who played both Human Torch and Captain America, but yes Bill Nighy can play anything.
O_O I just realized this particular Casting Call is either by coincidence or Ironic sense this was made July 3rd last year when the film launched July 3rd this year.
Well he did get super Powers in the comics momentarily. Plus, the super powers didn't really change the character, he was still an obsessive compulsive hunter.
ERod, great news - Chris Cooper has been casted as Norman Osborn in Amazing Spider-Man 2! Now that's a casting choice I can really get behind. I don't mind Jamie Foxx as Electro, but I still have my doubts about Paul Giamatti as Rhino. But I digress. What do you think of the casting of Chris Cooper as Osborn Sr., ERod?
1960's Robin,"Holy teen sensation Batman!" yeah Nemoy'd be pretty good, if we could get a time machine I vote for the elephant man to play Clayface, and maybe Anna Faris as Harley Quinn.
Wow, that was spot on. Plus, I'm glad to see Gerard Butler on here. He's one of my favorite actors and it bugs the crap out of me that he keeps picking a lot of bad movies. As for a possible new Peter Parker.... Hm... I'm probably gonnat hate saying this, but I think Jesse Eisenberg. He actually looks the part of Peter Parker and we've seen him do convincing nerd-to-badass in Zombieland. He's funny and I really liked him in Zombieland.
Hi ERod.I was wondering what is your take on the casting of Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti as Electro and the Rhino, respectively.Whilst it may be still too early to tell, I am interested in what both can bring to the table.Foxx is a very talented actor, and even though I was apprehensive about Giamatti's casting, he has portrayed a variety of roles, and as you indicated in your video he can make it his own(How interesting if there was a live action adaptation of the flower for Rhino story right?)
Fun fact, woody Harrison is actually playing carnage in the venom movie and it’s upcoming sequel so I guess your casting kinda fits
Speaking of carnage I cant wait to see him in the venom sequel
I would've gone with Robert Englund as the Vulture, but Ben Kingsley's a good choice, too.
Robert Englund already played the vulture in Spectacular Spiderman.
ERod Blockbuster Buster
Exactly. He's got the look, he's proven that he's got the chops, so why not?
ERod Blockbuster Buster you forgot Lizard.
Robert played him before
@@ERod2010 But we got Michael Keaton as the Vulture in Spider-Man Homecoming so we swapped Freddy Krueger and Ghandi for Beetlejuice or Batman. I say it was a pretty good trade.
Well Erod, you semi predicted Woody harrelson playing a psychotic slime ball. In a future sequel
I found that weird he chose Woody as a Venom.
He was lined up to play the Doctor after Christopher Eccleston, but then they gave the role to David Tennant, hence the reason why they gave Bill that awesome cameo in the 5th season in which he is dressed exactly like the Doctor and the Doctor compliments him on his bow tie.

Yes I agree
Peter Parker: The Amazing Spider-Man (2017 Film) Villain
Scorpion (Jason Biggs)
Vulture (Billy Zane)
2:30 Well ERod, You Got your wish, as those actors are returning for Spider-Man: No Way Home
I wouldn't dare say I love those guys and I wouldn't replace them for anything.
Also, with regards to the Rhino not having much character, I thought he was fleshed out nicely in one of the Spiderman novels "The Darkest Hours." Though yeah... he normally doesn't have much. Still, props to Butcher for taking a one-note character and making an interesting one.

If the movies hadn't gotten rebooted, I would've said Daniel Radcliffe for Parker, since he and Tobey Macguire favor each other in appearance.
you kinda predicted Woody Harrelson in the role of venom 2 but thats the only thing i am saying i am not gonna spoil venom for anyone
Bruce Campbell as Mysterio? That sounds awesome!
that's cuz its Bruce Campbell, just saying that name gives you a chill down your spine of awesome
Erod, what do you think of Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, and Dane DeHaan as Green Goblin.

Actually, Sam Raimi DID intend Campbell to play Mysterio in his Spider-Man 4 before it was canceled.
That weird moment that erod almost got the casting of woody Harrelson just the wrong symbiote
I honestly think Topher Grace could have been a great pick to play Spiderman.
All I can say about Woody Harrelson as Venom is he's a little old, I feel he should be around the same age as Peter, but other then that, it's pretty spot on
He became Carnage.
ERod, I have an idea. When you do your CC episodes, why don't you also reveal your pick for the director you would like to see tackle the potential projects you talk about? For example, I personally would go with:
- The Wachowskis for Justice League (writing & directing)

That's perfect, I was trying to think of someone for the riddler and never even considered Depp.
okay, he perfectly captured the essence of the character, especially the earlly Lee/Ditko character, in my opinion of course
For the unfinished Spiderman 4. They planned to have John Malkovitch as Vulture.
That's how I roll. Ether you roll with me, or roll out of the way.
What about Hugo Weaving as the Green Goblin? I think he could pull off the cold and arrogantly confident business man really well, but he'd also be great at playing the unpredictable, deranged psychopath side of the character. Plus, the guy looks the part too.
SolarDragon007 Holy shit! That would be perfect.
he seems more like he could play Norman Osborne the villain, not the green goblin
After seeing Woody Harrelson in Natural Born Killers, I can picture him playing Carnage in a Venom or Spider-Man movie
He already had a re-cast in the new movie. Lets wait to see what this new actor has to offer.
We roll, at midnight, so have your Boom Stick ready.... and pack a lunch I'm not making any stops.
Oh my god, after I saw this I instantly thought Tom Holland, but then 3 days after I watched civil war
😂
It's called V for Vendetta based on a little comic written by Allan Moore
2:33 Until Years later in SpiderMan No
way Home Came Along in 2021……
@DKrules9 I plan to review Spectacular Spiderman in July and during that review I will talk about the other spidey toons.
I'd have Jensen ackeles play venom
After these he became carnage
@SuperDipstick84 He was kind enough to come to my film school to talk to us about transitioning from being a struggling young video director to a feature film director and then he actually stayed after the lecture and spoke with a few of us casually.
I've also kind if seen Jackie Earle Haley as Carnage or Kifer Sutherland as him his performance in Phone Booth was really intimidating and he played crazy really well in The Lost Boys
Topher Grace is Venom Eddie Brock from Spider-Man 3 Movie
holy shit Jake Busey would be absolutely fantastic as Carnage great job Erod you don’t disappoint
Fun fact the hobgoblin in the 90s show is actually the second one he was also jack o lantern
Bruce Campbell can play anything... you can carve that in to my tombstone.
@ERod2010 OMG, so loved that episode. The show's creators bragged that this episode had to most references to the old Batman show than any other show.
Okay, BUT IT BETTER BE THE LAST!!!! My favorite of his flicks is "The Quick & The Dead"
Great choices man, espically with the hobgoblin, venom, carnage, my favorite villans. The only problem I had was with Steve Buscemi as the scorpion, I just can't see him as this chracters. As for the rest, I tollay agree with you. alsoo what is your top 3 favorite villians.
Casted my favorite superheroes archenemies on my 11th birthday.
Casted is not a word. The past tense of cast is cast
I was surprised that you didn't mention the Lizard since that seems to be who they're going with, and it's who they so obviously forgot to do in the previous three movies, aside from the Dr. Connor's cameo. Although I'm sure it's just going to be CG. x_x
Every. Single. One. Of. Those. Was. Genius. You. Are. A. Genius.
I know, but that's the only footage I had of him in the yellow outfit.
1) Spectacular
2) I'll tell you when I see it.
Kevin spacey would be perfect to play vulture
1) Wile E. Coyote
2) Sponge Bob
3) Kick Buttowski
5) Darkwing Duck
6) Freakazoid
7) Sam & Max Freelance Police
8) Yakko, Wakko, & Dot
9) Kim Possible
10) Bender Bending Rodriguez
Hey, ERod. I just wanted to know: you said you wouldn't mind Defoe, Church or Molina returning. But, since they in all likelyhood WILL be recasted, who would you pick?
They had to give them a reason to fight each other.

Here are my third choices
Judi Dench as Aunt May
Martin Landau as Uncle Ben
Absolutely Rhys Ifans is a fantastic actor.
I challenged him to do a funny hand gesture he couldn't do. I got the idea from the Darkwing Duck episode "Dead Duck"
well its been confirmed now, quite frankly im happy with it, foxx is a great actor and im sure he can make electro menacing
@DestinyMagus07 I'll think about it. I generally only do casting couches for movies that a rumored to be coming out.
@starball23 Lizard has already been casted. Nick Chinlund as Shocker and Kifer Sutherland as Hydro Man, there you go.
I'll consider it. Problem is I already casted Lex Luthor, Brainiac, and Toy Man. So that would make the video a bit too short.
I liked everything exempt the ending. I couldn't believe the two girls would be stupid enough to go to the fucking theme park, that pissed me off to no end.
Erod you forgot to cast the Lizard, Shocker, and Kingpin.
2:33 - wow… you definitely predicted that.
Rhino, Luke Cage, Bane. I should seriously become a criminal so that when I'm in prison, I can volunteer for an experiment that will give super strength
Wow, what a great choice.
Perfect choices
Especially since NBK are based on killings by the hitman Charles Harrelson and if you think that the last name seem familiar you're correct because Charles Harrelson was the father of Wood Harrelson.
He's already been casted twice!!!
She was already casted well.
I actually liked Jamie foxx's portrayal of electro I just don't like his portrayal of max Dillion
Gary Busey is defiantly a great choice for Carnage, but what about Brad Douriff, he's proved that in Child's Play and Spontaneous Combustion that he can play insane psychopaths and just imagine that laugh on Carnage.
Holy shit! Jake Busey is someone I always thought would make an EXCELLENT Carnage!
As for the rest, they're all pretty good save for black cat
First of all here are plenty of actors who are playing multiple roles in Comic Book Movies like Chris Evan who played both Human Torch and Captain America, but yes Bill Nighy can play anything.
Brian Cranston as Norman Osborn.
Michael Freedman and what was wrong with William dafoe
O_O I just realized this particular Casting Call is either by coincidence or Ironic sense this was made July 3rd last year when the film launched July 3rd this year.
Don't listen to that until you see a trailer.
You forgot to mention that both heroes are were created through tragedy.
CAUSE HE'S BEEN CASTED TWICE ALREADY!!!!
Oh yeah...funny thing about Woody...he's in the new Venom movie.
@DKrules9 I just hope it's good, I don't mind the cliffhangers so much.
He actually looks the part of Peter Parker and we've seen him do convincing nerd-to-badass in Zombieland. He's funny and I really liked him in Zombieland.
@EarthEntertainment97 I can't fucking wait, I am counting the days.
The Lizard has already been casted... twice.
Wow that guy really does look like Cletus.
Woody Harrelson is love, Woody Harrelson is live.He would of been an amazing Venom. But he can do no wrong in my eyes.I love him.
Erod did you know that Sir Ben Kingsley is starring in Iron Man 3 as The Mandarin.
Well, their already looking at potential actors, all I'm saying is that the time for me to give my two cents has passed.
Woody Harrelson as Venom...fuckin brilliant!
It was a fair effort, but yes I do hope that the new ones are better.
