- Traveling to Baja California is such a wonderful time. You are greeted with wonderful people and they treat you very well. I love eating at seafood restaurants when I travel to Ensenada and Rosarito. The weather is beautiful during the summer, there is nothing better than eating at a seafood restaurant and taking a walk on the beach. This recipe will give you that Baja style feel and is packed with flavor.

Beer Battered Fish tacos recipe:
4 fillets White fish
1 cup flour
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup Mexican beer
2 tbsp Mexican Crema
1 tbsp Mayo
1 lime
Mix about 2 tbsp of Mexican crema and 1 tbsp of Mayo and squeeze in one lime. Season with a touch of salt and mix well. You can add a splash of hot sauce aswell.

Fish Tacos recipe:

You just made me cry, because I am homesick. I grew up in Ensenada, the last time I had tacos there is when my mother passed away. On our way to the mortuary in the morning we stopped by a taco stand and ate them for breakfast. Talk about comfort food, waw!!

I did a hiking trip in Baja and we ended in Ensenada and I gotta tell you, best fish tacos I ever had and I'll never forget them. Only way to taste it again is to make them like you're doing. They did smaller pieces of beer battered cod I believe. That was 13 years ago and I can still taste it.

I live on a beautiful, Louisiana bayou and literally can walk out my back door and catch small catfish 365 days a year. I have never had a fish taco but I LOVE the batter you use. Thanks a bunch.

I go back to this recipe every time I need to make Ensenada style fish tacos. Frying up “roncador” or yellowfin croaker tacos tonight with the Kirby recipe here in Bonita, Ca.
I got this recipe 10 years ago from my Mother n Law, she has family in Ensenada. We try to go there 2-3 times a year and visit. I am honored you like it. I am sure she and her sister would be excited to hear.

Those fish fillets look like they would also make some legit fish n' chips with some fries.
Ya that can be done, probably leave out the chili powder to be a more traditional fish and chips recipe.

Those were such amazing tacos. My wife and I I’ve had a lot of fish tacos in our days but I have to tell you those were amazing. Follow the recipe to the letter. I did change up the beer with a sierra Nevada torpedo extra IP😂
I love fish tacos and those looked fantastic. The only thing I do different is instead of just cabbage I use coleslaw. Both ways are fantastic, it's hard to beat a fish taco. Thanks Kirby have a great day brother.

one of my go-to's, I sure miss going to Ensenada. It can easily be made at home though.
Surprised my wife by making this recipe for dinner. It seriously backfired on me. She loved them so much that she is making me cook all the time now. They are awesome fish tacos.
