What’s the deal with 1JZ injectors??

  • Do you find choosing the right injectors confusing? I certainly did for my SARD 1JZ VVTi fuel rail.
    This is not a complete guide to injectors, but hopefully it will help you understand them better if you are trying to match injectors to a particular fuel rail. Whether 1JZ / 2JZ / VVTi on NON VVTi.

    Were you able to get the subaru side feed injectors to work with the stock non vvti rail? In the process of trying to find something better than the stock 380cc injectors. Id like to get 3sgte 550cc but they're hard getting harder to find. The subaru ones would be a great option if they work

      Subaru are different to Toyota sidefeed as far as I know. I have Subaru injectors here as I own 2x WRX. There’s phase 1 & phase 2 Subaru (and you can get a Deutsche works kit to convert P2 to P1). but neither P1 or P2 is the same as Toyota injectors. I have 850cc DENSO/SARD side feeds in my JZX90 atm. I bought them secondhand & had them cleaned/ flow tested.

      There’s KSM Denso/ SARD 850cc injectors same as mine. Not sure if they’re genuine? Subaru is same as Nissan also.

    did you try to fit the long ev14 with the 14-11mm short top hat and the 16mm 1jz grommet? google 6 x 650cc BOSCH EV14 Fuel Injectors Toyota Chaser JZX110 1JZGTE VVTi

      Yeah I’m pretty sure I tried that first, but the bottom grommet was too loose/ wasn’t going to seal.

      @@ChrisWilson-rf8cs yeah there was something dodgy about the Fitment. Now how I have it setup it’s perfect. It had to do with it being a SARD rail. I took it to a fuel injector shop & they sorted it out.
