Luis, have you ever looked into oil field gate guarding (1099) for a temp job? I just got my TX security license (fully online, easy, & less than $200) and will start in November. I will work a few months in South TX where it's warm, then leave & travel a few months. While gate guarding, It's very possible to have a 2nd job while working - esp. if it's a "slow gate". I'm getting my tax preparer license (also online and free) to do taxes (remotely) just during tax season. I worked all my life in nursing, and I'm stressed out and I'm done with it! Time for more freedom and work only when I want to. If you're interested in learning more about GGing, let me know. Also lots of youtubers have videos out about it. Best of luck to you! At times it can get very boring with very little traffic, other times/gates can be very busy. CZcams search "gate guards" or "single gate guards". Several videos with good info out there. I'll do it for a few weeks/months to stack away some extra $$$ to travel. 😊

Or, they know you probably can't be reliable to do something I'll advised/dangerous/etc. Come to San Francisco bay area, highway 84 between Livermore and Sunol, highway reconstruction continuous 247. All sorts on heavy equipment moving around. Although I don't know anywhere that you can depend upon to overnight. Cities are getting strict, signage restricted overnight parking most places.

Hey Luis if you come around the south suburbs of Chicago about 30 to 50 miles outside of Chicago they've got some big heavy equipment companies one is called triple D and there's another one called PT Fero.. and there's another one right where I work but their Union companies and they've got a lot of work and I'm sure that somebody would let you park at their company site but you would be in a completely different Union I don't know what Chicago's locals are for heavy equipment but if you Google like Joliette Wilmington area there's some big heavy equipment companies that do you know they're building all kinds of those big industrial buildings out there they're popping up all over the place they're building Amazon's all over and everything sure you have a lot of work but that's just a thought I just thought I'd let you know

I retired four years ago as an operator for over 35 yrs. The industry has changed, OSHA has no bearing on companies and how they WILL operate. Consideration is rarely givin to the welfare of the employees. It's sad. There was a time I enjoyed operating that dozer so much, I'd of done it for free. But those days of a ho working with a dozer, loader almost in sync are long gone. Stay safe my wacky friend.
