Before i was mad bc they made a flag that i read as "im proud to disabled" but now, it kinda bothers me that they lumped us all together. But like, if you wanna use it, it's not my place to say no
I agree with you on this. Why is everyone obsessed with flags. I don't support the flag design, idea of the flag and I will not be waving this flag anytime soon. I'm not proud of something I had no choice in, I'm proud of who I became as a person like anyone else.
I do recognize this flag. I wish that there were a different design for it because while it represents other forms of disability it doesn't represent that many disabled people have multiple disabilities. I have some disabilities that are not in the doctor's textbook and are undiagnosed while I have some rare disabilities that are physical and some that are mental. Some of us struggle with people thinking that we are not all there because of one of our disabilities while we have an additional disability that is causing our struggles. As a disabled person, I believe that the words DISABILITY and DISABLED are NOT dirty words. I think that the disability pride flag should represent that there are places where we are on the same playing field and where our disabilities are not on the same playing field and are more unique to us and that is who we are.

you don't have to like it, but it isn't apart of the LGBTQ+ community, as it is not any form of love, gender, etc. it is therefore not a label.
