Sherry Darling was released on October 17, 1980 on Bruce’s fifth album, The River. The song was left off Bruce’s previous album, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and details Bruce’s relationship with a lover and the girl’s mother. - Hudba
Bruce's ability to turn a rocker into an acoustic masterpiece is simple stunning. How can *ANYONE* be this good; do so many things so brilliantly. A great example its full band performance of, "For You," contrasted with the 75 London version. Or Incident on 57th Street, which he can alone, or as an anthem. He makes me want to burst, to somehow convey his greatness to people who don't quite get it like a few of us do.

Sherry Darling is one of my all time favourite’s and this version is just sublime.
Insane version of this. Emotional roller coaster when I can relive these songs over 50 years. Mission accomplished Bruce! You are the best!

Wow, I just watched the AZ concert rehearsal video and ran across this one. How great is he? Music icon just doesn’t come close to describing Bruce. And on top of that he’s a terrific human being!

Possibly. He wrote many of his songs from the piano. Every song on the Born to Run album was written from the piano.
It is an. Ok version, but without Clarence Growling on his Tenor and the Other E Street Band members adding those Frat Rock Vocals, this version isn't even Close!! Personal Opinion of Course.
The full-band version is much better.
