Yorgui Loeffler is a talented manouche guitarist from Alsance in France. He plays in the Gypsy Jazz style of the legendary Django Reinhardt.
In this video, he demonstrates the use of embellishments (bends, slides, vibrato, trills, etc...) to bring out the full potential of the instrument.

Yes I hear the bend but Django doesn't put as much emphasis on it. You did haha and its ok. Well actually the beginning intro (the part we're talking about) is originally played by the violins and is repeated; it's an introducing riff not a solo. The rest of the song however is all a solo apart from some of the ending.

Listen to this: watch?v=VpmOTGungnA, listen to that bend to get him to the next note in the scale. LISTEN TO IT. DJANGO did the BEND. Loeffler is doing more bends than him, but it's the same bend! Yeah yeah maybe I went off on you a bit, I apologize. However, this is not a riff, it's a solo altogether in and of itself, therefore not a riff

Are you a guitarist? Have you never heard of Django Reinhardt? What are you doing trying to even learn guitar? You should just quit. Seriously, you don't know WHO Djano Reinhardt is??? Well he made this rhythm and most of the solo, it's his creation, and it's an amazing creation that has revolutionized Jazz. It reaches the Gypsy scale. And this isn't a "riff" so take you heavy metal close minded crap out of here.
