If the only people who can speak about football publicly, are the ones who've played the game professionally. That's a very small pool of people, relative to the population.
If that's the case, we should all just stop watching the game and talking about it altogether. Or maybe, we should allow everyone to talk about the game we love, and if someone's platform grows as a result. It's maybe because they value what that person has to say.
