For everyone that wants to play this game or didn't know this: Staying in the Garage is a guaranteed "win". The time it takes you to run upstairs once the audio queue from the vent plays is almost exactly how much time you have to wait for the vent to be opened. While the game goes on the garage door opens faster which is why staying in the garage is the smartest thing to do in order to "win".
Mark: "I hear your garage opening now, you might want to check that!"

The jump scares aren’t what scare me. It’s the voices of the creatures, the quiet, the atmosphere, and the fact that the creatures are breaking their backs trying to get to him
I think that's what makes the Mandela Catalog much scarier than some other analog horror. It focuses on the atmosphere and sounds a lot more than other analog horror, as well as the monsters and not having a consistent form or shape which makes predicting what's gonna happen a lot harder .

The developer did a fantastic job. There should be an update to the jumpscare though. This would easily be one of the creepiest games if there was a nasssttttyyyy jumpscare, with some variations.

Tip - When the Alternate is in the front door, Don’t Awnser the Alternate, get all boards (Max, of 2) to board all Doors and windows, When the alternate has laughed, Close any thing that the alternate opens a entrance, like the garage door or windows and vents, if you dont close, you failed, do not let the TV turn on in a period of times. Do not use your flashlight on for a long time, it has not a infinite battery’s in it it ie limited battery, Do not use the heart from the lamb and don’t smear the heart from the strange painting, or else, Angel Gabriel will make you scare/Jumpscare you, At the Menu, Gabriel will appear in 0.1 seconds like shadow in doors.

Step 1. Hoard all your important possessions into one room, preferably the bathroom or the room with the least amount of windows.
Step 2. YEET THE TV.
Step 3. Board up any remaining doors or windows and hump your lantern in the corner, making sure you have a 100% view of the room at all times.
Step 4. ¿¿¿[PERISH]???
Step 5. Wake up laying on the floor the next morning in a completely separate room wondering what the Hell happened.

The fact that the Intruder seemed to be the one to get him when he was able to make it past 6AM and keep the garage door and the vent closed tells me that the TV is more important than would seem to be on first glance, but the fact that it turns back on so quickly only makes me confused as to what your strategy should be in dealing with that. Maybe just try to turn it off between dealing with the other two entryways just to slow the Intruder down or see if he's there?

Honestly. That jumpscare looks goofy. Maybe static and overtime the more you die the more a face gets shown between the static. It could even be different faces for different playthroughs?

My favorite part of this video is mark commenting the Alternate is charging up his chuckle engine. Kills me every time. Also him calling said Alternate Mr Chucklemister and tell it not today! Lol.
I think the static TV is the third thing because the random jump scare Mark got was of the Intruder, who climbs through tv screens

So the face that killed you on your good run was, in Mandela Effect 'lore,' the face that appears in TV sets that messes the world up. So I think you have to do something about the TV in your bedroom before the end of the night in order to stop that from getting you.

the sound that you hear before the garage door opens is so similar to the white noise I hear while having a seizure that's grating on my ears, and I hate it but the game is cool...
Point and click horror is so good, everything about this game was so cool and unsettling except maybe the main jumpscare, the others were good. I think they have to rely on atmosphere and sound so much, plus you're stationary and can't really run.
The only *intended* jumpscare that got me was when he smeared the blood on the painting

A similar game that's point and click horror and had terrifying atmosphere was Barrow Hill. There's a lot of reading so it's a little slow paced (very old game, too) and there's truly very little moments when you're in danger, but the lore, sound design and atmosphere was chilling. I think what made it even scarier for me was that a month after I beat it (i was 12??? at the time??) i had a paralizing nightmare where as i struggled to wake up and move or call for help, a voice coming from a telephone line hissed "If you dont finish the game... you will be cursed for generations" When i finally woke up shaken from the weird dream, it took me minutes to realize i had already beaten the game (good ending, too). I never uninstalled a game so fast, I became a littlesticious that day.
I feel like Mark's panic and reaction to seeing the window open right infront of him is justified.
