Check your compression both when the engine is cold and then when warmed up. You might need new rings. If you are losing compression when warm , it will affect how the air fuel mixture gets drawn into the cylinders. Also, It looks like you are burning a lot of oil. Hell of a lot of smoke coming from that thing. Maybe your pump is pumping too much oil. And finally slap a new set of plugs. I had a jet ski that did the same thing. Put in a new set of plugs and it ran great after that. Cheers TT
Also check your fuel pump, take it apart if the carbs had crap in them then surely the pump will too, check the pump diaphragm for rips or cracks. You can buy a whole new high flow Mikuni pump cheap on eBay I just bought a new one for mine for $60 shipped. It’s the black performance pump. My sled had a Chinese junk pump on it when I got it and the diaphragm was bad. Would run then stall , that’s what happened when it gets air in the fuel
Those small ports up top are just vents to the bowl. There should be 6 to 8 inch flexible tubes hanging down off them. You may need to tweak your idle mixture and speed,
That thing on ur carb is just for a vent line should be ran to your handlebars somewhere no big deal I got four of those sleds sitting in my yard three run great one is for parts
I’m really no polaris expert, so I could be wrong, but could be the fuelfilter is not at the bottom of the fuel tank? The purple fuelline doesnt seem to be affected by gravity, compare it with a fuelfilter and fuelline in a chainsaw
Fuel filter is In The same location as it was. I'm assuming stock location as it did not look like its been messed with. There is a screen on the end that goes into the tank.
After all this we did take it on a ride. It cleaned up the more we rode it but was never great. I think it really needed to be completely gone through. I also never checked compression and you be a great thing to do on an older sled.
I guarantee it just needed new crank seals on both sides. They crack and suck air through crank bearings. I just did them on my 440 fan motor. $4.55 ea. Runs like new.
fuel pumps going, or the pulse line is leaking.. very bad to run it like that, its going lean
I have a rxl 650 triple efi that bogs put a new spring in the primary clutch helped abit maybe clean your clutch then try that

@@StevenRT thinking about this did you ever check your crank case seals pump might not have gotten enough vaccum
@@tylerearl8129 I did not and definitely could have been an issue. There is alot I did not check due to time.
