I’ve been fully gray for a year. I get very few comments about it. Unfortunately, when I do get comments, most aren’t positive. I’ve been told it ages me. But frankly I don’t care. I like my hair. It’s healthy and shiny. And my gray has a lot of variation.
People are idiots sometimes! Enjoy your hair. I bet they envy you on some level that they don’t have the courage to do it themselves.
My grandma had the most gorgeous silvery grey hair, I always admired it. I hope to be as lucky when mine is fully in as she was.
I'm one of the many women who went grey during the initial lockdowns, however, I had thought about not getting my hair colored for around two years. I retired in October 2018 but kept postponing because I dreaded the demarcation line. I had my hair professionally colored at a salon once a month and in-between, I used the powders and root coverup dyes so my scalp really took a beating and never felt clean. It was in March 2019 that I began to notice the shedding and during my next salon visit, the assistant made mention of this when she washed my hair, I did go to my doctor to make sure my thyroid was ok and hormones levels were fine-I'm 68 now and on HRT-all checked out as perfect. I was in a panic; I always had long thick hair and now I was losing it? Well, I really began to lose it mentally.Then we all know what happened in March 2020 and that's when many journeys began, including my grey hair transition.
Two years and 8 months later, I LOVE my hair. It is thick, healthy and I get so many compliments. It's such a relief to not have that circle on my calendar for "dye day." I would encourage any woman who is thinking about this to give it a try.
It’s such a relief to do it! I used to hate getting my hair colored. When my stylist moved to an upscale salon the prices tripled. That helped me decide as well. Thanks for watching and sharing.
I'm only four months in, but my daughter keeps telling me my complexion looks brighter. I am not regretting ditching the dye one bit. Thank you for the inspirational video!

Thank you. This was helpful. I just one day decided to stop fighting natural beauty. So maybe this will help someone....if we STOP saying that we're going grey and START saying, I'm allowing my divine natural beauty to shine through. My light cannot be covered up any longer. Be beautiful.

You cracked me up with your explanation of #10!! It took me 23 months to grow out my grey hair. All of your reasons are so true. Relief of not having to see those darn roots appear after 7 days was all worth it for me.

The thing that got me when I quit coloring my hair was the comments. I didn't do the grow out, I did the chop off to a very short pixie. Everyone thought the color of my hair was their business. Men don't like it, was my favorite comment. My first thought was, "Oh yes, I lived my entire life around what men like, I need to get to a salon now. 😂 Do what makes YOU happy.

These are great reasons to let your gray grow out! I’m so glad you nudged yourself to forge ahead and have the courage to allow yourself to simply be a version of yourself that nature intended. I think your gray hair is beautiful.

Change is often desirable, frequently necessary and always inevitable. I'm nearly five months in with no dye and am really liking how the gray hair looks with my skin tones and eye color. Thank you for sharing your honest and frank information with us.

The weight off your shoulders is huge mentally. I get colored and within 2-3 days the wisps around my face are gray, 10 days from color my roots are back and they are sparkly silver-so very noticeable. I used to get away with 4-6 weeks now it is every 2-2 1/2 weeks. That is $100-$125 twice a month.Yikes! And I too feel like everything revolves around getting my hair colored. I don't want to worry about it any more and look at the money saved! ❤❤❤

Lololol I used to try to put my fingers through my hair and it was a nest! Hahaha I thought that was funny because that's the way my hair can be now, but it's still softer than it used to be! Great video Christine! 😊

I am 42 and I started to grey...I will not colour my hair. I am embracing my transition..

What I'm doing to transition is using only temporary hair color which last a full month for me and then after 8 or 10 months when I have a good 4-5 inches of silver under there, then I'm going to use Color Oops which removes the artificial color. It works pretty well.

I'm now 51 and have dark blonde hair with a tinge of red, an uncommon colour. I do have greys but they're still hard to find. I honestly couldn't be bothered to colour my hair. I've only coloured my hair twice.
Hi Lee, you’re lucky and your hair sounds a beautiful color. My hair was so dark that when the grey started coming in in my 20s I just wasn’t ready.
I'm about six weeks in, I was a bottle brunette. So far I can tell people at work have noticed but are too polite to say anything :D My 18 year old son said he likes it ("it matches your white top") and when I picked him up from the airport after a trip away with his mates ("schoolies" for the Aussies here) his friend said to him "you've only been away a week and your mum has already gone grey" :D

I am 53! Go for it Yael! I have your back! It is very scary at first but the reactions I got from friends and strangers alike were so overwhelming positive and supportive that I quickly realized all my worries were unfounded.

I'm 33 and I have a lot of grey coming in, but just strands right now so I don't think it looks that great. I'm kind of excited to have more grey hair 😂 Just so it looks better. Your hair color and style looks great!

I didn't go to the salon, but half of my Friday and all day Saturday were used up because I was using henna and indigo and before that, box dye. Definite relief!

Hiya thanks for this great video! I'm on a grey hair journey myself atm.. but I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up the dye just yet.. I'm at the stage where I feel it just doesn't look good, well to me anyways. I'm 36 and I started going grey at 20!? 😂

It took me years to have the courage. Nothing wrong with dyeing your hair for as long as you want! You’ll know when the time is right.

I'm 53 and completely grey I've been 2 years in.....I get a lot of comments negative and positive.....I would have to spend about $20 New Zealand dollars a fortnight on hair dye...finally I'm blonde...lol...I always had black hair dark brown eyes ....when I was young I looked like Valerie bertelli...but wanted to be Farrah forcett....I totally agree with you on most you have talked about...thank you...I want to wear make up but never do..I'm so unskilled there, maybe I could start a little, PS I'm laughing so hard at reason #10....I thought that....

My father in law died on Xmas day. Very difficult situation. I posted a message on my community tab that I wouldn’t be making videos for a while and many people wrote notes of condolences and kindness.

Your awesome . Thankyou. I would just like to add one more vital reason not to colour. Hair dyes are toxic to the body. Your health will improve and I believe you will age slower by eliminating any nasties
