My wife makes GREAT Adobe sauce. You got some of the good stuff. I drink Calamansi juice almost every day. Love that stuff. And we have our own Calamansi tree (small green lemons). Halo-Halo actually means "mix-mix", so you have to stir it all up good. The purple stuff is called "Ube" which is purple yam (sweet potato). Ube is very well known and highly used in the Philippines. Rule of thumb for foreigners... @@kendrasaunders4063it's so easy make it yourself ;) that chicken adobo is just chicken, vinegar, soy, bay leaf, garlic and black pepper, thrown into a pot & simmered. I’m a Filipino. I like my eggs well done, so I always request for it when I order. I think next time you order the tapsilog (TApa, SInangag, itLOG... hence the name TapSiLog) you could request for How you like your eggs cooked as well. Loving your reaction. Kudos! Also, the sago is a Filipino tapioca while the gulaman is a Filipino jello. The turon is a saba (type of banana) with langka. Sometimes dipped in a vanilla extract and coated with brown sugar then wrapped in a lumpia wrapper. Then deep fried with added brown sugar for coating. The pansit is usually squeezed with calamansi (a sour fruit mostly used in cooking Filipino dishes) on top hence the lemon as a substitute coz I think you don’t have calamansi in the US.

Love your love for tapsilog! It’s a typical Filipino breakfast. You can also get many other types of “silog” such as with sweet pork sausage called longsilog, fried fish called bangsilog, spam called spamsilog. It’s a contraction of the word for the meat, garlic rice (sinangang), egg (itlog). Put it all together and you get something like tapsilog (beef tapa with egg and garlic rice). We love to eat everything together so don’t be afraid to put the egg atop your rice, to get a bite every time. That yolk is gold and tastes really good with the rice and tapa altogether. Thanks for making this video! I really enjoyed your reactions! Next you gotta try lechon (crispy roast pork) and sinigang (tamarind based vegetable soup with fish or pork). They’re amazing too.

I would say to try champorado (chocolate rice porridge) with dilis (anchovies), sinigang with pork ribs, dinuguan (our version of chitlins) and kare kare (peanut sauce oxtail). You keep us filipinos happy seeing you eat our food 😊

Go.ahead man ! Both of you made me laughing 😃 you really enjoy our cuisines .
The spring rolls ( lumpiang shanghai) is usually pork meat but ground chicken is also pretty good! 😊
Thanks for appreciating Filipino foods! ❤
I love turon with vanilla ice cream ❤️

❤️ Sago is tapioca and gulaman is grass jelly. The empanada was chicken most likely and is a bit like Jamaican patties. I'm so glad you loved the Pilipino food. And even in Boston! Adobo is including soy sauce with vinegar.

You guys made laugh 😂 . I’m Filipina. We are a new subscriber today.
Chicken Adobo is the Philippines' National Dish. Cooked with Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Garlic, onion, peppercorns, bay leaves. There are hundreds of versions of Chicken or Pork or Beef Adobo. We even have Swamp Cabbage Adobo. Filipino Adobo is ubiquitous worldwide since Filipino restaurateurs are scattered around the globe.
Try Crispy pata, pancit palabok, pancit canton, Jollibee, Arroz caldo, Lomi 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 Filipino is underrated but is now getting international attention. Glad you like it 😊
You both are sooooo cute! I'm so happy he found a taste from his childhood too! 🇵🇭

Hello Brent and Mir.
The people of the Philippines will welcome you with open arms if you visit it. Hope you can come and experience the beautiful smile of the filipinos and the amazing places you can go to.
Stay safe and more power. 😊
OMG, you two are sooo CUTE!!!
Loved seeing you guys enjoying the Filipino food. Next time try the Flipino street foods like kwek kwek, kikiam, fish balls, squid balls, bbq stuffs like pork bbq, chicken intestine, chicken feet, chicken head nad some pastries as well like pastillas, puto bumbong, sapin sapin, cassava cake, kutsinta, puto, biko, suman, ginataang halohalo and more....

The pancit bihon noodle is good if you put soy sauce with calamansi (philippine lemon). Also goes well with lumpiang shanghai. Enjoy!
